Sao Paulo courts and balls in bad condition

Fognini's coach tweeted a few days ago that Sao Paulo's courts were in terrible conditions and the balls weren't suitable for professionals. Other players have complained in pressers too with Alexander Peya today saying all of them were in bad condition. A photo of lines coming off:

Also reports that Nadal's not happy with the balls - he and his team having a discussion with the organizers about the conditions of the balls (apparently too soft - not the correct pressure):

Should be an interesting week. Pretty poor for a tour level competition to have such issues with all players complaining about it.

indoor clay is usually shit, not surprised. the first picture makes me appreciate courts here more than they probably deserve.

Worst courts I've ever seen. Regular bounces aren't possible during matches.

Indoor clay always suffers from these problems.

Re: Sao Paulo courts and balls in bad condition

It's not a secret the courts are complete joke. They are not proper clay-courts with layers, basically like Madrid. When fedclown came through Brazil on his stupid exhibition they were playing there on hardcourt. On the ball that I have no idea what they've done.
