Re: Rotterdam R1: Nieminen def. Goffin 6-0 6-0

There's nothing wrong with them, as I said in my first post on this thread. Nothing wrong at all.

But once the comments are out there, they can be used as a source of mirth.

But let's not get off topic.

This is about Nieminen bageling Goffin.

Nieminen: one of the nicest guys on tour, with a great game, permanently under the radar. Also worth noticing that he's older than Roger. Nice win for him. Nice score for him.

What? I cannot accept this result.

I got a few double bagels from stronger girls in my mug carrer, but Goffin getting it from Nieminen...just wow.

Laughable result. This clown is hopeless outside of clay.

The player that he lost with that scoreline are real reasons to worry about for Goffin's team. It's quite more than a bad day for him.

Re: Rotterdam R1: Nieminen def. Goffin 6-0 6-0

I always felt D Goff was overrated, nice kid, decent groundstrokes but he is undersized and lacks weapons, not even the fastest guy out there, still will probably be a top 40 pro, maybe win a couple of titles, but I don't see him winning a slam or masters or anything like that.

He's just a mighty mite without much to distinguish him, and when the errors start flowing he doesn't know where to go or how to adjust.

Reverse Berlocq? Also, didn't Niemenen triple bagel someone in DC this year already AFTER RETIRING? Crazy that he could have such performance. Now wished he was Top 10 just for one week.

Re: Rotterdam R1: Nieminen def. Goffin 6-0 6-0

When Novak was about to double bagel Berdych in Beijing he stepped of the gas and gave Berdie a bread stick. Goffin on the other hand, he had a demon to slay. Berdshank redemption.

I don't know, but this match might have contributed to Goffin being a more humble and hardworking player, and see himself as less of a wunderkid.

Also, as a Nieminen fan it's nice to see that still after his retirement, he lives on in the global consciousness of the tennis world
