Too bad I could only watch the 3rd set as for some to me undiscernable reason, my new Windows8-computer didn't allow for any livestream to properly show the match, so I had to pull out an antique 1998 Windows-NT laptop in order to be able to watch it
Don't mind me here...
Amazing tennis from Zeballos, totally deserved victory.
As for Rafa
- well, reaching a final after a 7-8 months injury hiatus isn't that
bad a result, I presume. There have been plenty of tennis greats having done much, much worse in the past.
There's some work left for him to do right now and I'm sure he understands that very well. Count out Rafa on clay at your own perill m- I'm not going to make that mistake this upcoming season, no way.
On the other hand, matters may change fast in tennis, and perhaps Zeballos may become a genuine challenger for the truly big clay titles the coming season?
I wouldn't mind it for a bit. Nothing wrong with having some new strong contenders on this particular surface.
