I've seen good arguments in Haas's favour in this thread, but the "number 2" argument should not be given too much importance imo.

Haas at number 2 in 2002 had a similar number of ATP points as Henman at number 4 in 2004.

Actually Haas's highest number of points he got at number 3 in summer 2002 (3030 points), Henman at number 4 had his best of the 00s after the US Open 2004 (2825)

2 is still better than 4 and Haas missed Wimbledon that year to take are of his parents. Shortly after he had a career ruining injury. I see your point though.

Pretty much every single draw in every slam has been actually very weak since 2002.

classy choker henman > haas.

ASI Director-General Gautam Sengupta said the list of India's treasures held abroad was "too long to handle" and there was a need for a "diplomatic and legal campaign" for their restitution from institutions, including the British Museum, the Royal Collection and the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

Re: Better career: Henman vs Haas vs Ljubicic

I've often wondered why Henman has two Indian Wells finals when his game was always better on faster surfaces and he generally had a poor record at the AO. Then again I'm still totally baffled by his RG SF.

Anyways Henman.

Re: Better career: Henman vs Haas vs Ljubicic

If you're a good enough serve and volleyer, you can get results on any surface I guess. Edberg got a bunch of SFs in Miami and IW – winning one IW. Rafter also has a couple of SFs in Miami. Sampras has some IW and Miami titles.

Still bitter about Haas speaking everyone's mind I see. You should be thankful about Haas' angelic nursing of your BF in 2006.

Tommy underachieved? Tommy had 3 injuries with which many other players would have thrown in the towel already a long time ago. But Tommy fighted back every time and as far as I know he is the only player to have won the ATP-comeback award twice during his career.
