Statwise, better player won.

I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives.

Good for Rufin, if he wins his QF then he could get up to 80 - Monaco on the other hand will stay at 15

Because he was playing good at the time. Don't forget he troubled Nole at Rome.

On the real ACC'16 Final:

Re: Vina del Mar R2: Rufin def. (2) Monaco 7-6(3) 6-4

Wasn`t Monaco for the first time broken in the match when he was serving for 1st set?

Unexpected.

Gasquet is next №1

Always good when an overranked vulture with no game gets outvultured in one of these Mickey Mouse tournaments, it has a karmic feeling about it. Better and more talented player won.

MTF games titles:

Suicide Tennis (5): Wimbledon 2014, World Tour Finals 2015, Madrid 2015, Kuala Lumpur 2014 and Metz 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 WTF, 1 Masters 1000, 2 ATP 250; 2 finals lost

Fill-in-the-Draw (3): US Open 2014, Rotterdam 2013 and Geneva 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 ATP 500 and 1 ATP 250

Tennis Tipping (3): Veneza and Todi 2014 (with vn01), Knoxville 2015 (with Redkop) - 3 challengers; 7 finals lost

no surprises, need to save energy for the doubles with his master which is his main focus here.

Re: Vina del Mar R2: Rufin def. (2) Monaco 7-6(3) 6-4

Very good win for Rufin, probably his best carreer one even though he defeated Lopez in Montpellier last year. Rufin is himself a claycourt specialist by the way (or better on clay but can play on hardcourts, just like Monaco).

And probably very good news for Carlos Berlocq's draw

Rufin is provisionally number 84, new carreer best (previous one 86)
