Re: Murray: I can win French Open

He will be a factor. He knows how to play an move on clay. No reason he could not be the third favorite. He will need to prove himself in Rome/Monte Carlo this year though. Maybe win Barcelona?

Is he deranged or something?
Not sure if trolling or just stupid.
Actually, I'm sick of this shit. Murray is better than Djokovic on grass based on waht? He won the Olympics? Bcs he won 1 match 7-5 7-5? Bcs he beat Fed and Novak didn't? He lost 1st time he faced Fed on grass, so did Novak. Novak didn't get the 2dn chance.
Wimbledon champion>non-Wimbledon champion.
Really tired of everybody saying 'Wimbledon champ sucks on grass'.
Novak has results on clay to back up 'better than Murray on clay' talk. Where are those Murray's awesome results on grass?

I can understand people saying Murray is slightly better on grass, but saying 'he is soo superior to Novak on grass' is just stupid.

Djokovic | Tipsarevic | Querrey

Re: Murray: I can win French Open

OK, it's nice to know that Andy has self-belief. Any elite player ALWAYS believes that they have a good chance to win a grand slam, regardless of the surface. I've nothing against what Murray said. It would have been much worse if he publicly stated that he does NOT believe he could win FO.

However, I doubt very much that Murray can win FO, unless there are some MAJOR upsets (Rafa and/or Fed/Nole get knocked out early). Maybe Murray can get a win if he has to face only Federer or Nole, but there is no way he can beat Fed/Nole and then face Nadal. Murray couldn't last physically at AO, which is a hard court (slow hard court, but a hard court nonetheless). He had a 5 set match with Federer and then in the final he was spent after 2 sets. People blame the blister (which probably did play some role), but I believe that Murray was physically drained due to his long match with Federer. On clay, points are longer, more brutal. I really don't believe that Murray can last physically at FO to win the whole thing. I know that here in the UK, Sky and Eurosport commentators always go on and on how Murray is physically freak of nature and that he is - if not the fittest - one of the fittest guys on tour. I don't believe that. Yes, he is fitter than the MAJORITY guys on tour, but he is not fitter than the main slam contenders (Rafa/Nole). He is probably fitter than Federer at this point in their careers, but to win a slam he has to go through 2/3 actual slam contenders, and I don't believe he has stamina to last 2 long, back to back, 5 set matches, ESPECIALLY at the FO. To be honest, I'd favor Ferrer over Murray on clay, and that opinion won't change until Murray proves otherwise.

Novak Djokovic Rafael Nadal

David Ferrer - Leyton Hewitt - David Nalbandian - Marcos Baghdatis - Janko Tipsarevic - Tommy Haas

Re: Murray: I can win French Open

Almagro would probably beat Murray to, he also raised his game in the last year or so. Delpo probably too. But we will see. He improved his FH, that could be the important factor

Jmac/Agassi/Safin/Nalbandian/Djokovic/Stan/Krajinovic/Zverev

Re: Murray: I can win French Open

out of 6 GS finals murray was a runner up 5 times. i read very often on this forum how talented murray is. can u imagine his GS runner up score if he wasn't talented?

ASI Director-General Gautam Sengupta said the list of India's treasures held abroad was "too long to handle" and there was a need for a "diplomatic and legal campaign" for their restitution from institutions, including the British Museum, the Royal Collection and the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

Re: Murray: I can win French Open

Murray says he is skipping Davis Cup, to improve his results on clay. He says it's one of his goals to get better on clay, and talks up his chances on the surface a little bit.

Re: Murray: I can win French Open

Why do these threads get allowed to stay? Sure it's cool that he believes he can win the French Open, but there's not really much you can discuss about that... the purpose of these threads always seems to be to trash talk Murray, disrespect him and talk down on him. If this thread was about Nadal, Djokoivc or Federer winning a Slam on a surface they are AWFUL on, mods would delete it right away and I'm kind of annoyed that this hasn't been deleted yet. It's getting ridiculous now, how can people not see the obvious aim of these threads is beyond me...

Mark Lenders banged your girlfriend, I'm sorry to tell you that mate.
