Re: Murray's constant swearing on court

I think it's fine, most players do it anyway and Murray makes it funny because you can actually understand what he is saying

Re: Murray's constant swearing on court

Time to post some of MAndy's greatest hits—

"Take your time dickhead!"

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

3. Speaking of 'come on', what really annoys me about Andy is when he shouts "come on" after his opponent double faults or makes an unforced error.
This pretty much sums up everything that is irritating about Murray's on court demeanour. It's hard to look past his constant injury feigning and faux grimaces.

Bah, I don't mind him cursing at all. But it costs him an important edge in focus while things don't go his way so bad for him.

Very smart post! I curse too, but not in front of thousands of people or in front of a TV camera. It makes Andy look rather juvenile. Perhaps it is part of his charm, as I do like him, though not as much as I like Novak-LOL!!

Who's the worst?

The one you hate most.
When was the last time you saw Nole play? You haven't been timing him for at least 6 months: he's one of the fastest players now.

Gamesmanship? When was the last time? I saw Wawrinka geting his legs massaged 5 or 6 times during his match against Nole... But nobody seems too bothered about that fact, then again, I'm sure the tennis community wouldn't have been bothered if Nole was the one who had done it.

You'll have to find something new to criticise about Nole. Those two do not apply anymore.

He's not the first player to do it nor will he be the last.

Re: Murray's constant swearing on court

If he is swearing at himself, what is the problem?

Can't monitor what a player says to himself. Next step is thought control

ATF rule book for on court behavior for players dictates that if players made audible obscenities, that's a code violation But it's now more or less like the old time rule that umpires hardly enforce it.
