Re: Nadal's Comeback

I have had my lesson in my life never say never, Obviously Alex you maybe nas not such one like me, You can not say Novak will have or not have problems with his legs, They say if play with fire you will get burnt, If you ask Monfils is much more natural athlete than Novak is and he got his problems, Novak will turn 26 in May and has around 600 matches Here problems start. I do not wish anyone injury but it just happens,

Re: Nadal's Comeback

nole eats donkey cheese which stimulates production of titanium in joints, cartilage and bones. read all post carefully, it has been explained.

ASI Director-General Gautam Sengupta said the list of India's treasures held abroad was "too long to handle" and there was a need for a "diplomatic and legal campaign" for their restitution from institutions, including the British Museum, the Royal Collection and the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

well anything is possible. However, based on his past, he's never had any problems with his knees or ankles. Novak has never suffered from any major psychical injuries. He is super fit. Now, we probably shouldn't be malicious. I want all tennis players to be healthy.

Re: Nadal's Comeback

Problem for Rafa is he won't be one of the top 4 seeds at RG, so he will have a much tougher draw.

Rafa's only problem at RG is his knees. Draws don't matter for the Clay Warrior

Let's see his form in South America plus the European clay season prior to RG. If he is OK, his draw won't really matter that much. I mean it will be more difficult but he is the King of clay.

Exactly this. I bet Rafa is shuddering at the thought of facing Murray, Federer or Ferrer on clay

The only difference will be that he might has to face Novak before the final this time, but he's going to have to go through him anyway if he wants the title. Might as well get it over with early on.

Re: Nadal's Comeback

The problem with Rafa is that his team pales in comparison to Nole's, and so does his scheduling. Nole will never let his knees deteriorate like Rafa has for so many years. Sure, Nole might not have as long of a career as Federer, but he will age better than Rafa.

I'm not so sure about that. Djokovic wasted an entire year on that crazy Todd Martin experiment. That should have never happened.

Have they downgraded Wolverine? Back when I was young he used to have adamantium bones, "strongest composite on Earth". Not "mere" titanium. Of course, that was many years ago.

Re: Nadal's Comeback

The secret to being number one is firing Todd Martin. Unfortunately, a player must hire Todd Martin before he can be fired. Before a player can do the opposite of everything TM advises he needs to learn what TM's advice is. A small step backwards followed by a giant leap forward. Djokovic still claims that TM helped him but the episode was definitely weird.

Once players reach the 600 matches, their slam winning rate slows down. It happened to Federer after late 2007, Nadal after early 2011. After reaching 600 matches, Federer won 5 slams while he had won 12 slams before that. After reaching 600 matches, Nadal won 2 slams while he had won 9 slams before that. Agassi and Sampras also slowed down their slam winning rate after 600 matches. That has been the trend in the past 2 decades or so. Djokovic has played around 600 matches already but he has half the number of slams that Federer had when he reached 600 matches. Djokovic is close to the same age Federer was when he reached 600 matches which happened in the year Federer turned 26. It's really going to be hard for Djokovic to repeat from now on what he did before hitting 600 matches. Winning another 6 slams will be a tough task. The mileage takes its toll. The greatest players of the past 20 years(Federer, Sampras, Nadal and Agassi) couldn't win the same number of slams after hitting 600 matches that they had won before reaching 600 matches.

Rumour is they wanted to make Nole's ankles from Unobtainium but the environmental cost was too high! (oh stop).

BTW, my Norwegian friend, how's the x-country skiing up there this year? Last year was amazing in northern canada for snow and its the fittest I've ever been when I had a chance to ski there. I asked that people call me "Hans" when I was there. Real winter is awesome.

Anyone looking for excellent all around fitness like Nadal should read this, sorry if you live in a warm climate.

Re: Nadal's Comeback

The mental aspect will be tough, like when he returned in 2009 after missing Wimby. Do you go 110% every match, or risk re-injuring yourself?

And what's the deal with Nole's "injuries"? Sounds like people just hoping he gets injured with the way he plays (a la Nadal ~2005/6).
