Re: FLASHBACK: Australian Open (2002)

2002 was a very strange year in the Grand Slams.. I mean, Johansson and Costa winning AO and RG against heavy-favorites Safin and Ferrero in the finals... Then Hewitt winning Wimbledon in another crazy tournament, before Sampras winning his last title and match of his career at the US Open!

Guga Kuerten

Roger Federer & Novak Djokovic

Re: FLASHBACK: Australian Open (2002)

nice tournament, a lot of memories specially related to Marat but everything looks like crap when you remember who won that GS

ah yes, of course, the mighty Lemon Water gets to decide which threads are deemed "worthy", and feels the need to express his discontent at tennis fans discussing past tennis results on a tennis forum. take your irritatingly pointless intolerance somewhere else - funnily enough, people can discuss whatever they want, especially when it's not overly-opinionated or remotely offensive to anyone.

don't have a clue what your thread was, but I'm sure it was wonderfully average.

If my work pisses off a bunch of Rafatards then it only makes me prouder of it.

Hopefully.Would be great for tennis. The same players over and over again in the final stages of Slams is just terrible.
Great OP btw.

One of the muggiest slams of the open era. Safin really clowned in the final

Wasn't Safin drunk for that final?

Better question to ask is when Safin was ever sober?
