Added. Theoretically he's still in with a chance. Surprised he never beat Federer in a Slam in those early years; he did beat him twice in best of 5, but never at a Slam.

Don't forget Roddick, who only needs a win over Federer. It's almost NID it will happen.

Interesting to note also that the big 4 have now beaten each other in slams.

Re: Murray joined Tsonga as the only men to beat Federer, Nadal and Djokovic at Slams

How bad does your mind should be in case of Murray against Federer ? Murray is sick like his team. He compares to someone who is near 32 years and more than 1000 matches on his body, This Fed needed to fight every single match with big hitters younger 10 years than him to get to SF in cold night session. All his opponents are quality players in top 20 . Tsonga is #7 very strong big hitter finalist in GS. Murray at the same time had to train to play Federer in SF such an easy path to SF.This strong fresh Scot maybe fittest over there needed a win over tired and maybe a bit injured old man to gain a confidence, For what to be defeated from Djokovic like a drum or to say a BS, Did not Federer have any pain after such tough matches ?
No one knows because ones think he is not human. When Murray get to have more than 302 weeks as #1 and more than 17 GS then we can talk who is better. Safin had a win against Sampras Leyton had as well but no one became greater than Sampras, Murray will be 26 in may and these young guys as Raonic,Tomic. Janowicz already has his number. Raonic beat him twice,Janowicz as well . That is shame. So his win over Federer did not give him the GS title.
Because this old man made him to pay the price, Feel the pain like me to become a champion that Fed said to him.Once Fed gave him a gold medal for free after his battle with Del Potro.I feel Federer is more happy than Murray right now. Something like you won this battle but not THE WAR

I think so but the post I was replying to seemed to be attacking the broader assertion that Murray is just plain better

One of only two players to do so. Amazing Haters have yet another thing that's gone against them as he's now beaten Roger in a slam

ANDY MURRAY

SLAMS: 2 WINS, 7 finals, 9 semi-finals, 7 quarter-finals...
MASTERS: 11 WINS, 5 finals, 11 semi-finals, 18 quarter-finals...
WTF: 3 semi-finals...
OTHER: Olympic gold and silver medals, Davis Cup champion...
MATCH WIN/LOSS: 558-166...
TITLES: 35 and counting...

~ Roger ~ Pics ~ Monty ~ Berdman ~ Stronga ~ Feli ~ Big Kev

Bird's tennis is capable of disrupting the rhythm of most players on tour and blowing them off the court on a fast court. But rafa adapts to Berdych's tennis the best and matches him shot to shot like no other player. people don't quite understand how great Nadal is on a fast court despite his limitations with ROS. His groundstrokes are lethal and second to none on fast surfaces.

Do you know that every match depends on your day form ? Murray form was good
for his match vs Fed but was not so good for his match vs Djokovic? Why ? Federer was not able to serve to save his life and still made him play five sets for four hours. Next time may be Murray would play five sets match before
his match vs Federer Who knows ? Tommorow is a new day. The great man is there
for TEN long years. And Murray at 25 soon 26 can not get there. British media is just BS you need to think before open your mouth, Murray defeated Nadal in GS before and what ? Now he beat Fed at 32 years and What ? Did he win the title ? NO. !!! Berdych beat Fed twice and what ? Still without GS.Tsonga beat
Fed and Nadal in GS and you know NO GS title.

I don't understand what your point is. I don't think Murray is better than Federer. I think he might be favourite to beat him more often than not from now on but that's got nothing to do with either player's record which is what you keep referring to.
