So, it's just a question if Goaterer will show up or not.
Last year Fed knew very well he has not chance against Rafa on clay so why need to make the same mistake as year before in 2011.Lost a lot of energy at FO and had nothing left for Wimbledon.
That is why IMO he did not push himself after Madrid, got enough points at Rome,at RG and Wimbledon was something else. At this stage of his career he knows where he has a chance at GS level. He will be crazy if he push to win on clay

Re: Who is the early favorite for Roland Garros 2013?

Djokovic by far.

He was the second best claycourter last year behind Nadal. But the Spaniard is not the player from last year, not even close. He is now vulnerable even to players like Zeballos and Rosol. Djokovic is the favorite to win the clay tournaments this year by default. Federer is older, Murray is not great on clay, Del Potro is better on faster hcs, Ferrer is useless against Djokovic and Nadal is now the Oldal/Kneedal version.

People forgetting how big of a gap Nadal had on the rest of the field last year. Yes, he's not the same player, but he still holds an advantage.

Big favourite to win it all

That gap in the finals didn't seem too big.....

RG is not some mere South American Challenger tournament, piggy won't get a clue what will hit him.

The gap was huge, Dextertje?? What happened to durrrr?

Djokovic can thank the weather gods for that rain otherwise he would've been humiliated like...well not like Federer, but pretty close. Check out MC and Rome out last year as well.

Re: Who is the early favorite for Roland Garros 2013?

It really doesn't matter what happened last year. THIS year Djokovic is the favorite to win RG. And, dare I say, Murray is the favorite win win Wimbledon only because Federer turns 32 this year. By default Djokovic will very likely win RG and Murray win Wimbledon. I wouldn't be surprised if Fedal go slamless this year. Murray was the second best player on grass last year but Federer is a year older and at this stage, over30, it matters a lot.

IMO

RG: Djokovic
Wimbledon: Murray
USO: Murray or Djokovic

Djokovic >>>> Nadal >>>>>>> Federer >>>>> Murray/Berdych/Del Potro

Or something like that sadly.
