honestly I can't think of one worse. even US Open 2012 I can at least remember more than ONE good match in the entire draw, ala Ferrer - Tipsarevic, Berdych - Federer, etc.

totally dissapointing, and it's not even the result that I mind, just literally almost no great dramatic and fascinating matches. unless you consider something like that snoozefest with Simon and Monfils entertaining. what's worse, the final was really non octane stuff, I mean it just seemed so casual
Agreed. It really was dull as dishwater most of the time. Doesn't even feel like a slam just ended. That final was so low key - didn't even seem like a Masters final really - their Shanghai match had more passion and energy at times.

Do think it's maybe time for them to think about moving the Aus Open in the calendar - maybe have Miami & IW as lead in tournaments & have the AO end of Feb/start of March. Just feels more like an extension of the previous season this way and doesn't have the build up that the other 3 slams do.

5/10.

Just very predictable and low key, at least there were a couple of good games. Better than the US Open at least.

If Wawrinka beat Djokovic and Chardy's run had more oomph then it'd be higher.
