i thought gandja ban in holland coffe-shops is still in place?

ASI Director-General Gautam Sengupta said the list of India's treasures held abroad was "too long to handle" and there was a need for a "diplomatic and legal campaign" for their restitution from institutions, including the British Museum, the Royal Collection and the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

yeah Edberg's fh was such a thing of beauty that roger tried to copy it at all costs Luckily for him he failed

Yes - let's admire his "clutch" play for now.

But when he hits 27 and a young up and comer starts to challenge him...wonder if we'll admire his clutch play so much then...

Voted for the fifth option.
He will surpass them both while getting more pushy with every mug slow-asass year.
Next.

Edberg and Becker had to deal with few generations of different superstars with very different playing styles :Connors,Lendl, McEnroe,Wilander,Courier,Sampras,Agassi not to mention Chang, Stich, Cash,Ivanisevic.Plus - they had to beat each other , which was tough task itself.

Djokovic right now has only declining 31 y.o. Fed and not so brilliant Murray as serious opponents. Even Nadal is conveniently out of picture for some time now.To say this grinding between 2 quite boring baseliners is golden era of tennis is a huge mistake.Maybe Ferrer as permanent slam semifinalist is sign of Golden era also ?
Totally agree.

As well as this, of course, Becker and Edberg had to cope with a wider variety of surface speeds, especially at majors.

If Djokovic would retire today I would not rank him ahead of Becker and Edberg.

But I'm most certain I will by the time Djokovic actually retires.

Re: Has Djokovic surpassed Stefan Edberg and/or Boris Becker?

He surpassed them long ago because they played in a mug era. It's unthinkable that someone at 16 would win a slam in today's game, yet it was possible back then by simply serve botting.

Ok,that's why there is other statistics that says that in all other departments Djokovic is superior(apart from the same number of GS titles):

More Masters titles...

More weeks as number 1-now guaranteed 77 weeks at least...

Better career win/loss %

Better career Grand Slam win/loss %

etc.

Re: Has Djokovic surpassed Stefan Edberg and/or Boris Becker?

Becker never won a clay court tournament, and only has 12 weeks at#1, so Novak has definitely surpassed him. Shortly he will surpass Edberg in weeks at #1, has won more important clay court tournaments than Stefan, so will surpass him for sure very soon. Actually, he probablly has done so already.
