Re: Federer v Nadal or Djokovic v Murray?

Fedal matches are bad but because of Nadal's boring gameplan. But Federer's in it, so there's magic.

Nolandy matches are just plain boring positioning contests

How about Nalbandian-Baghdatis? 2 fatasses stadning there, being to lazy to play.

Anyway, it's Fedal, but Fedal itself is overrated, as far as match quality is concerned. Taking everything into account, for me it goes:
Fedole
Rafole
Fedal
Murderer (I like it when Murray finally stops being a pusher and goes for his shots and he sometimes does that vs Fed, more often then vs the other 2)
Noleray (sounds stupid anyway I put it)
The borefest (Nadal-Murray)

Djokovic | Tipsarevic | Querrey

Re: Federer v Nadal or Djokovic v Murray?

at least with Noleray we have a semblance of a chance of murray winning. Fedal is a lost cause these days.

Kind of a boring final; the points were decided more by unforced errors than winning shots.

What type of final do you prefer? Federer/Nadal or Djokovic/Murray?
I will take the latter.
it's not even close. Nadal - Federer has so much more drama, beyond just their playing styles being so different, they have interesting dynamic as far as personality, interaction with each other, charisma. Murray - Djokovic is, once again a great reference to that Mark Lenders 'PONG' posting on the WWW thread, like PONG the 1970s/80s video game. repetitive and boring

frankly the Djokovic - Federer matchup isn't too bad. but Murray and Djokovic are just too defensive, it's like watching two bots counter punch counter punch counter punch

who can really say they enjoyed the Australian Open final? if you love Djokovic as a fan, then cheers you were delighted with the result. but certainly the match was not of a very good caliber. I've noticed the problem with Djokovic/Murray matches is that the player that wins, wins because their opponent drops their level. every single freaking time. last night in the first set, Djokovic plays mediocre, loses the set. the next few sets Murray drops his game and loses. US Open 2012 5th set, Djokovic plays dramatically worse, loses the match

certainly there are times when the same thing happens in Rafa-Roger matches, but at least you have a handful of matches where both of them are playing amazing and winning based on how THEY PLAY rather than just waiting around for their opponent to screw up

Nadal - Federer infinitely more entertaining. Murray - Djokovic is great if you're out of sleeping pills and need to get an early start on rest for the night or whatever

<3 Roger Federer <3 David Ferrer <3 Juan Martin Del Potro <3 Ernest Gulbis <3

------------------------ <3 Richard Gasquet <3

Fedal. Or just about any other combination apart from the alternative. Just don't put those two on the same court, please! Unless they make some weird decision to play doubles, at least.

Re: Federer v Nadal or Djokovic v Murray?

Federer-Nadal is obviously a better match-up entertainment-wise, nice contrast of styles. But Djokovic-Murray is at least more unpredictable results-wise, even across all surfaces. And their matches aren't "soo baddd!!11!!", people are just entitled drama queens That US Open final gets brought up for its poor quality every day it seems. Do people really think Federer-Nadal would have been a much better match in that ridiculous wind? Lord, Fed would have been shanking backhands all over the place and Nadal would have just been waiting for errors Conditions like that would mess up anyone's game. People seemed to actually like the Djoko-Murray match-up a lot more before that match

Including Mugray into any kind of epic match discussion is an insult to real grand slam champs.

Equally shit. Djokerer is the best match up. Hell, even Dullray is better than the two mentioned.

Re: Federer v Nadal or Djokovic v Murray?

Fedal is a fraud with overhyped small wins for Federer in a 7 year span.
Federer didn't do that much against Tsonga and Fed sympathizers panic as if he fell out of the top 50.
If he had won the 2010-2 us opens, fedtrolls would say he's a pretty genius with no sweat and classy graceful interviews. lmfao

Re: Federer v Nadal or Djokovic v Murray?

Of the 2 options, FEDAL for sure

Going a bit off-topic, but of all the Big 4 match-ups this is my favourite order:
1 Fed-Djoker
2 Rafa-Djoker
3 Fed-Rafa
4 Fed-Mugray
5 Rafa-Mugray
6 Djoker-Mugray (yawnfest!!! sadly this may be the future )

Djokovic, Federer, Tsonga, Del Potro, Wawrinka, Thiem, Nishikori, Raonic

Congrats Djokovic on winning 2016 French Open and becoming the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to win 4 consecutive majors!

Re: Federer v Nadal or Djokovic v Murray?

Basically any match-up between these four that includes Federer is better than any match-up without him. If he's not there it's just a grind fest like yesterday's final...
