No shit.
I will most certainly not do that again, since it will get deleted faster than you could say "cheese", and you still won't be able to see it. On the other hand, you won't "see" it even if you see it, it seems.
Sorry, I may have misinterpreted your post. After reading again, seems that you protest why I said Novak is not the GOAT?! Again, I meant he is one of the GOATs already, will he be THE one, we cannot discuss until his career is over.
What I'm saying, Novak has the better career path then Fed, given the opposition.

Re: Did Federer Win The Title For Novak?

But here are more data (not mine):
All-time Open Era Grand Slam wins

Federer's career is 5 years ahead of Novak's. Fed has 252 wins in slams by now, Novak 141. That is 111 more, divided by 5, it's ~22. 4 slams per year, maximum 28 wins. So just by reaching semi in every GS, in 5 years he will surpass him. He does not have to win a single GS to achieve this!
Similarly, Rafa's career is 1year ahead of Novak. The difference is 16 wins. Reaching semi in just 3 slams, and Novak will surpass this.

But, of the top 20 in that list, only Hewitt is from Fed's generation(!!!)
And from the current generation, there are 3 already, 2 of which already surpassed Hewitt!

Riiight.

I don't dispute your data, which I'm sure is from an excellent source.

But in order to truly surpass Federer, I think most would agree that Djokovic needs to, you know, WIN some more majors...

I think it would also be appropriate to look at where Federer was in terms of tennis titles at the age Djokovic currently is, to gauge in some way the likelihood of Djokovic catching up...

Yes he did. He had enough so he was humble enough to give one to the Djoker. Seriously though he tired Murray out. No doubt. Murray already took Djoker to 5 tough sets in 2012. Could easily have won this time was he not cooked.

Re: Did Federer Win The Title For Novak?

on the other hand you could say murray was more battle-worn than novak coming off a win vs fed. really a stupid thread btw, I'm sure murray was ok considering he won the first set and looked looser than nole to start.

Re: Did Federer Win The Title For Novak?

This OP is getting the hang of these troll threads. He had a blister, but that's his own problem, not Nole's. Murray fans don't make excuses.

Do find it funny that the Djokovic fans who used the tiredness and wind machine cards, find this a ridiculous proposition. You double-standards munching numbnuts.

How can an old mug tire out super fit young player?Stop living in Mugerland of fantasy, wake up and smell the coffee.Muger lost to a player owned by Djoko King.He was taken apart in the 5th.Oh joy, what a knock out that was.In the final The Mighty One anihilated The Pusher King demonstrating rhutless & brutal power.

Nole is just too perfect not to win.No irony or sarcasm,I do think that way. This final persuaded me further that he's a freak of nature and the humans have no chance against him.

The 4 Real Grand Slams:
Viña del Mar Delray Beach Estoril Båstad

Washington = unofficial 5th Slam

Djokovic vs. Ferrer in slams

2007 U.S. Open: Djokovic def. Ferrer 6-4, 6-4, 6-3
-Windy? No

2008 Australian Open: Djokovic def. Ferrer 6-0, 6-3, 7-5
-Windy? No

2012 Australian Open: Djokovic def. Ferrer 6-4, 7-6(4), 6-1
Windy? No

2012 U.S. Open: Djokovic def. Ferrer 2-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2
Windy during the first set? Yes. Windy during the last 3 (which were played on a totally different day)? No

2013 Australian Open: Djokovic def. Ferrer 6-2, 6-2, 6-1
Windy? No.

Are there any examples of how a rested, "blisterless" Murray handles Djokovic in slams? Because excluding the one this year, there has been only ONE match in which one player dominated, and Djokovic won that one.

It doesn't matter whether Murray is rested and doesn't have blisters. Djokovic has shown that he is more than capable of handling Murray.

The wind was a legitimate factor in Djokovic's loss. Murray having a blister or whatever is not.
