Andy had an impairing blister towards the end, but look. He had a comfortable path till the semis whereas Nole had Wawrinka and Berdych, two tough ones on the body. Yes he had the harder SF, but Djoker spent longer on court.

The better man won the US Open and the better man won the Australian Open.

Congrats to Raquel, Jess, Nina, Nikos, Stefan
Thanks Joseph. First slam came for Murray so this shouldnt hurt much

Look at those frakkin' forehands from Novak! When I was watching his shot-making I thought it would be criminal if he somehow gifted another slam to Murray.
Thankfully he woke up and played smartly and took more chances on the return.

Congratulations Novak, well deserved spot in history for 3 AO titles in a row.

The worst final I've ever seen. Just flat through-out. God, I hate this match-up. Hopefully with Federer moving to #3 soon, we will see some good Djokovic-Federer semis.

Congratulations to the #1, he played great in sets 3 and 4. He is fast becoming a great of the game.

I think Andys blisters really made things difficult for him to give 100% he was clearly in pain. Its his own fault really for letting Fed take 4 hours out of him in a job that could have been done in 2 and 1/2, but I do think it effected him the last 2 sets.

Still a great week for Murray 3 consecutive GS finals is a phenomeanl record. Lets just get stuck in at the masters events and get this no 2 ranking now Murray.

Go Andy!

So very very proud to be a fan of Mr Andy Murray Wimbledon Champion 2013

Double Grand slam champion. Olympic Gold Medalist. Holder of 9 Masters 1000 events # legend

not the second one : Murray was in a great position to hit a winning backhand but missed it.

But overall yes on other points, Djokovic raised his level at that moment on his serve when being in a very dangerous position when he had low confidence and Murray had a high one, quite like in the beginning of the second set of the US Open. Imo a typical Djoko-come back from hell, but if Murray had put that backhand in, it was 2-0, and Murray was playing great at that moment, and it was another story.

I can't understand those who still call Murray a fluke or whatever after everything he's done in the last year

Fortunately, I think they will have to understand one day.

Murray had physical issues and a naughty feather, and couldn't play his best, but shouldn't take away from Djokovic's performance.

Going to be a delicious rivalry over 2013
Didn't you say you were going to put up Novak's avatar until the FO if he wins this AO?

Agreed.

uhhh Murray was awful in that AO 2011 final and there was no match from 5-4 in the first set because Murray made errors left and right.

Also the level was better today than in that first set.
