If Murray used his head more often we wouldn't be having all of these discussions about him.

And you Scots wouldn't have to be defending him to the hilt everyday on this forum.

By listening to you, someone who thinks he should use his forehand more often?

I'm not defending him. I'm stating a simple fact. It would be dumb for him to consistently run around his backhand, which is a vastly superior shot.

So, you're saying Murray should go around his backhand, even though his backhand is better? :retard:
His forehand is great, but as good as his backhand, which is the best today.

Defending = posting the truth?

No problem chaps.

Call me when Murray delivers that major title we all want to see. Or make that if he delivers it.

I'm just saying its very rare in the mens game for a player to win a major title without having the forehand as a big weapon. I'm not saying that he should desert the backhand but he needs to get the forehand into play more often. And all the greats from Lendl to Courier to Sampras, Nadal and Federer are happy to run around the backhand to cause major damage to their opponent. Something Djokovic tries to do as well.

At the moment Murray's game doesn't seem big enough to win a major title, but let's see next year.

Re: Who Has The Better Forehand? Murray or Djokovic?

Murray's backhand, if you look at the top 50, is about average at best. His passing forehand is good, because he hits it one way very accurately and consistently, cross court. Rarely does he go down the line with it. Outside of that, his rally forehand is generally loopy and weak, he misses too much with it when he goes for it, he doesn't have the power most top 50 guys have with it, he can be rushed with it which leads to timing errors. His forehand is a weakness for the standards of the #4 player in the world.

Re: Who Has The Better Forehand? Murray or Djokovic?

The only reason Murray's forehands can be considered accurate is due to the fact he doesn't hit through it with a lot of pace. He guides them. And he has the timing to do that and succeed fairly well enough in putting it where he wants to. That doesn't make it a good shot, though.

Djokovic may have a better FH than Murray, but it's not one of the best FH.

Fed, Rafa, Gonzalez, Soderling and Del Potro are five I can think of who are better. Nole's is good, and miles better than Murray's, but these five are the cream of the crop IMO

Want one of the best forehands?
Federer is the answer, also Soderling and Querrey.
Isner's is also very good.
