Re: Do you like Murray-Djokovic matches

There are much better matchups out there, but they technically have different play styles, so occasionally interesting to watch. Yes, many of their exchanges can be very long and drawn out and quite frankly not really entertaining as neither may go for winners for a while, but certainly isn't the worst.

Federer / Haas / Safin / Gaudio / Kuerten / Youzhny / Nadal / Gonzalez / Ljubicic / Hewitt / Soderling / Wawrinka / Coria / Nalbandian / Kohlschreiber

I will admit he is VERY defensive obviously but look at the game pong, it's robotic, Nadal doesn't play robotic and to tell me he does would be crazy. Murray and Djokovic on the other hand are exactly that. robotic robotic baseliners. at least Nadal has a hell of a lot emotion in it. and please, if Nadal is so horribly boring at the baseline then why is it that his matches with Murray and Djokovic are much much much more interesting than the Murray/Djokovic matchup?

I'll tell you why. because he has personality and more variety than them. the Australian Open final last year was pretty bad I'll admit, but it wasn't even close to as painful as the US Open final. I HAVEN'T PLAYED PONG SINCE LIKE 1980 ON THE ATARI but thanks to THIS HORRIBLE MATCH-UP I'LL BE WATCHING IT ON TV IN A FEW HOURS

I like the matches only when Djoker isn't seduced to push like Murray. You know what they say, you are the company you keep.

Novak Djokovic nº1!
The Golden Era of Novak: Australian Open * Dubai * Indian Wells * Miami * Belgrade * Madrid * Rome * Wimbledon * Montreal * US Open * Abu Dhabi * Australian Open * Miami * Toronto * China * Shanghai * World Tour Finals 2012 * Australian Open 2013 * Dubai * Montecarlo * Beijing * Shanghai * Paris * WTF * Indian Wells * Miami * Rome * WIMBLEDON 2014 * AUSSIE OPEN 2015 * Indian Wells * Miami
Federer to Nole: "Amazing year. Amazing tournament. Amazing match. You are THE BEST!"
Either you get him or you don't!

Re: Do you like Murray-Djokovic matches

I really like to watch aggressive Novak. When he's on fire it is as beautiful as Federers finest tennis.
Also, Andy has been working on his attack recently so their matches should become prettier.

Now, they are still young and fit and they both can play long and grueling matches but if they are planing on having long careers they'll need to switch gears.

They want to see players going for winners.

Why wouldn't we like it? It's the 'Match of number 1 and 2, WITHOUT QUESTION', right BBC?

Re: Do you like Murray-Djokovic matches

It may be a contest goes often goes the distance, but even as Djokovic fan I have to say it's boring.

I said to my colleagues on Friday as soon as Murray overcame Federer, this would be a dreadful final.

Murray vs Djokovic is always long baseline rallies and unfortunately because both are such good defensive players, they just drag on and on. They aren't long and exciting rallies, not for me anyway.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... I would say on fire Nole is about as beautiful as a very good Agassi match. Djokovic moves a lot faster of course, but that is not really a beauty thing in my opinion. Agassi has the half volley thing in his favour though.
