Re: Djokovic vs Murray matches: is the match always on Djokovic's racket?

As per usual Andy hit more winners, and controlled a lot of the points. Stumbled at 4-5 15-30, which would have created 2 match points. So no, Novak the Worlds number 1 retriever has less on his racquet generally speaking. He's pretty much reliant on Andy's mental lapses, which is fair enough.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Here's a tip. Don't regret nothin'. You ain't got the time. Before you know it, you'll be 60 something years old giving free advice to some cheapskate runt... Then going home and regretting it.

Don't use math. They won't understand. Obviously Murray is the bigger server and returner in their match-up, so if he's playing well there isn't much Djokovic can do. The match is due to Andy's mentality and focus, which is still quite up down.

I don't think it's on either racket really.

It doesn't really matter who Nole is playing these days, it's always on his racket.

No matter who's on the other side, if Nole plays well he wins.

Correct.

Also irony of Nadal fans in here. We saw at Wimbledon what happened when a match was off his racket and the opponent didn't miss.

These murraytards are getting out of hand.

Djokovic's best is still > than Murray's best. The problem is that Djokovic is rarely at his best when playing Murray, of course because of the match up or because Murray can neutralise his weapons better. But in the rare occasions I have seen both of them at their best, like Rome last year, you still knew Djokovic would win. He even wins those he doesn't play at his best, like AO or yesterday. That doesn't mean Murray has nothing to do with the outcome of these matches. He most often than not forces Novak to play worse than his best, which is a triumph in itself. But when he cannot achieve that, because you know Nole ALWAYS steps it up later, that's when problems begin for him and he knows it. Novak has an attacking mentality that Murray doesn't have and he always tries to attack first.

Novak Djokovic nº1!

The Golden Era of Novak: Australian Open * Dubai * Indian Wells * Miami * Belgrade * Madrid * Rome * Wimbledon * Montreal * US Open * Abu Dhabi * Australian Open * Miami * Toronto * China * Shanghai * World Tour Finals 2012 * Australian Open 2013 * Dubai * Montecarlo * Beijing * Shanghai * Paris * WTF * Indian Wells * Miami * Rome * WIMBLEDON 2014 * AUSSIE OPEN 2015

The match is on neither of their rackets. They tend to bring each other's level down and make many, many errors as they both try to outlast the other player.
