Murray stinks cause he pushes ... Grinderovic at least can attack good
Mandmug won his first slam thanks to pure luck !

Saberq, your excuses seem sort of ironic... Too much playing time was the excuse that Nadaltards used when Novak beat Rafa last year... Also, complaining about luck when a return inches on the line was the difference between Novak winning the US Open and crashing out in the SF is a little bit funny. Luck is a part of the game, and both Djokovic and Murray earned their slams.

The rivalry itself is tedious both in terms of personality and match up. Their matches are nearly always boring grind fests and there is no edge at all given their off the court friendship.

Djokovic will have a much better career overall, but anybody stating that Murray won't win another slam again is well off base. There is a reason why he is comfortable second favourite, to Novak, at the bookies for all, but the French next season. Murray had God mode luck to win the US Open, but he played excellent tennis at Wimbledon and Aus and it wouldn't have been unjustified if he had won one of those slams. If he had won Wimbledon rather the US then there would be far less of this undeserving champion or he'll never win a slam again talk.

Murray will win 2 - 3 more slams as Fedull declines, but Novak should get to 8 or 9.

Djokovic vs Murray matches: is the match always on Djokovic's racket?

Does it always depend on what form Djokovic is on to determine the outcome of these matches?

Yesterday you could argue that Murray was deciding the match, yet lost it with his bigger first serve, even ballbashing some forehands, but making lots of errors.

Wot chu fink?

obviously yes

the only time he's ever lost was when he choked and/or defeated by the wind

take yesterday's match, djokovic was playing at most 60% but as soon as he got close to that 60% level, murray was toast

If they weren't "friends", Nole would tear him apart like Miami 2007 every time they play.

Murray has no friends, you fucking fuck, and didn't Murray destroy him in Miami just 2 years later?

That said, they're both fucking mugs.
Murray never 'destroyed' Nole btw and calling world #1 and #3 mugs ... hm, let me think here. sorry can't think. could I have a new brain please? ;)

As per usual Andy hit more winners, and controlled a lot of the points. Stumbled at 4-5 15-30, which would have created 2 match points. So no, Novak the Worlds number 1 retriever has less on his racquet generally speaking. He's pretty much reliant on Andy's mental lapses, which is fair enough.

Don't use math. They won't understand. Obviously Murray is the bigger server and returner in their match-up, so if he's playing well there isn't much Djokovic can do. The match is due to Andy's mentality and focus, which is still quite up down.

Of course but it's like that with almost every player who plays Murray

Serious answer:

Back in 2007, when Murray was a mug pusher (and he really was), anyone with some weapons and the ability to dictate play could beat him.

Nowadays he's improved his shots and more importantly learnt how to take the initiative in points, especially the big points. He's also gotten super fit.

So, right now, I think Murray is on par with the other top guys.

Watch the AO 2007 match against Nadal... He was far from pushing in that one.

As for this match-up, I think it's very even. Small margins decide between winning and losing. It's rarely straight-forward. I hate it though and hope they won't play again for awhile. They bring each others' levels down. UE galore...
