Lendl basically physically outlasted his competition and though I like Edberg, Becker, and Wilander they were a far cry from the all time greats before them.

Not to say Mugray will have a career anywhere near Lendl, but maybe he'll win a few more slams if he get to play competiton like Mecir and Perfnors in slam finals
This.

Re: DILEMMA: Is Andy Murray a transitional slam champion?

Since he's having to beat Djokovic to win said slams...no. Djokovic is an incredible tennis player, beating him to win a slam (or slams in the future) makes him a worthy slam winner, not a transitional champion.

WTF is this clown term 'traniational' champion?

The game is always changing, no one is going to be around for ever. They are all 'transitional' champions. The haters need to get over the fact that Murray is a great player and that they were wrong, he will actually win many slams. Stop trying to come up with excuses

Re: DILEMMA: Is Andy Murray a transitional slam champion?

Murray beat Djokovic. Aka Djokovic 1.8. Not an easy feat.....

I honestly think if Murray beats Djoko at AO, then he is not a transitional champion.

If you have an issue with a report/infraction, a user, a moderator or just want to talk, PM me.

I support Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, David Ferrer, Del Potro.

Why? Because I love tennis plain and simple

Barring injury it doesn't seem there will be many changes in top 10, let alone top 3. Even Tipsy has clocked a full year (and few months over) inside top 10, a lot of people didn't think he'll stay there for more than few weeks at best

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”
