Mandy 'the wall' almost unpenetrable
Federer ROSless and out-of-gassed
Nole is the only winner here

Re: AO SF: Murray beats Federer 6-4 6-7(5) 6-3 6-7(2) 6-2

Should really have been straights, Murray made this as hard as possible on himself. The 1st tiebreak was horrible, shank for minibreak, shank for minibreak, then .... that smash.

Unbroken till the fourth set too, holding easily, then just went awol.

Murray 62 winners, 47 errors.
Federer 43 winners, 60 errors.

177 points to 151 should not be a five setter, that sort of ratio is typical of a three or at most four setter. Not efficient, almost blew it.

Forgot, f**k the surface.

Educating MTF clowns one post at a time.
So many fanboys to troll, so little time.

Favourite tennis matches: 2011 US Open Final & 2012 Australian Open Final, starring Novak Djokovic & Rafael Nadal, showing us just how far science can take humanity.

The US Open Final was especially enjoyable, with 'Why are there white spots all over my body?' Djokovic and 'Why am I sweating boils?' Nadal embarked on a titanic battle, concluding with the inferior player, Nadal, entering a sort of delirious state of psychosis. This allowed him to, while showing very little fatigue, consume inhuman amounts of energy, before he literally ran his legs from underneath him. This is truly the stuff dreams are made of.

Not the best match from Roger, but what a fight! Proud of my man here. Congrats to Murray and his fans.

8th day of July 2012: 7-time Wimbledon champion!

Once upon a time there was a myth about strong and weak eras. On this glorious day the clownery was eventually unmasked: 30 y.o. past-prime daddy Fed became #1 once again in the supposed strong "Spartan" era with his rivals at their peak.
And they all lived happily ever after.
Long live King Federer!

Well done Andy, you played the best tennis. I hope you play as well in the final.

To be honest, this feels right. Roger didn't play well, Andy has a great chance now.

Well done Andy!

Roger, I respect you so much

No idea how Federer got to a 5th set. He was comprehensively outplayed for most of the match.

Best result possible. If Roger won, Nole would just win easily He has the extra day.

Fed at the AO last 3 years:

2011: Lost in SF to Djokovic
2012: Lost in SF to Nadull
2013: Lost in SF to Murray

Just shows Fed can't beat the pushers/grinders on this blue clay

Federer:

-Fitness is a problem right now. Really started to run out of gas in the 4th set, and totally out by the 5 set. He needs to improve his fitness if he wants to win these big matches
- His forehand footwork was terrible. Especially when it's a running forehand, he gets wrong, wrong wrong. He also isn't getting enough power on the forehand down the line.

Some big problems for Federer, he needs to resolve these soon.

You clearly don't watch - or don't know - much about tennis. Not only is it not impossible, but winning a match after a 5 set epic has been done many, many times. Are you saying that all those past champions were cheating somehow? Just because Federer at his age cannot last a match after a 5 set epic, doesn't mean fitter players cannot either.
