Re: 2013 Live Commentary

impressive rally. we need a few more big, gutsy points to break this wide open.
they've been kind of pushing... just feeling each other out.

Slowly but surely Nole is suffocating Murray's game.

not the point. I'm saying that you don't need to be good at clay to be the best player in the world.

Thatas why I like this surface because we can witness this kind of points like this last one.

That brings people to stadiums to watch tennis.

“Does Djokovic resemble myself?” Agassi said. “No, he is even better. He defends really well, while I struggled more in that element of the game. Novak looks totally relaxed when defending, completely calm and the quality of his return is incredible. He is also extremely flexible in his game, which is facilitated by his ability to anticipate his rival’s moves. That is why I think he is a much more versatile player than I was and he is also much more athletic.”

Re: 2013 Live Commentary

That game point shows that Murray is still a bit too tentative when he gets the short ball - Nole got back to neutral during the rally. Volley was ok, but chose the wrong side.

Re: 2013 Live Commentary

Murray playing well, but I think being a bit two aggressive. It may be uglier, but I think it's a better tactic to frustrate Nole with offspeed shots then attack the net.

Re: 2013 Live Commentary

The biggest strength of Djokovic is movement.

He is everywhere on court, rather like Borg from the late 70s and start of 80s.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 17 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
Nadal 14 GS, 27 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 9 GS, 4 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
