Re: Let us salute Novak!

Old news.. You should respect him and all the other ATP players to begin with.

Salute Todd Martin whose great coaching and service instruction made it all possible.

Re: Let us salute Novak!

I'm not really a Novak fan but I can't deny his great mental abilities.

Coming back from a break down against Nadal serving for the set was a real show of mental strength.
He did at the 2012 AO final winning 5 out of the last 6 games.

Djokovic probably will continue this way against Nadal on all surfaces anywhere.

Straight setting Nadal at his strongest tournament was amazing though I did have Djokovic winning this in two.

The rest of the clay season will be very interesting with Nole having taken one of Nadal's most treasured tournaments.

That's too kind of you. It's like Tiger Woods being Federer's best pal, they're both so great.

That's actually a good comeback. Kudos.

He deserves to be at the top.

Deal with it, MTF.
All true. I would add great return of serve reflexes, unparalleled counter punching and the ability to hit the ball flat, hard and deep from anywhere in the court at any point in a rally (and from either wing) to his substantial list of attributes. I would be surprised if he doesn't break several records by the time he's done.

Still, I can't really warm to him. His counter-punching/flat game, brilliant as it is, leaves me cold. And his demeanor on the court also puts me off; he's a bit too much of a ham for my tastes, though his off-court interviews are far superior to both Roger's and Rafa's. He certainly has a very good mind for the game. I think he'd make a good analyst when he retires.

So, kudos to you Novak! You're playing in the era of probably the best ever grass and clay courters, and we're still talking about whether you're better than either of them.

Agassi | Nadal
Almagro | Coria | Ferrer | Haas | Nalbandian | Nishikori | Robredo | Wawrinka
Bautista Agut | Bellucci | Blake | Dimitrov | Dodig | Ferrero | Fognini | Gasquet | Hewitt | Kohlschreiber | Murray | Raonic | Rosol | Seppi | Tsonga | Tursunov | Verdasco

Nole can aspire to be better than Nadal when all is done. He's too far from Federer career-wise and talent-wise
