Wink Boris Becker nicked my court

Boris was training today at the club where I play. I was supposed to be playing on one of the club's Rebound Ace courts, but got bumped onto a clay court because Boris needed it. Would have liked to have seen him train, but it was not possible to watch him 'unseen', so only took a couple of peeks at him. Nobody else was paying any attention to him either
I guess he's getting ready for that oldies competition in London next week.
Go Boris!

oh the cheek of him!

How many times must we of shot nerves witness the undoubted pain & suffering of muppets everywhere before we stand up against the cavemen??

One muppet, who wishes to remain anonymous, has this to say: "You know, I uhhhh cannot stay all the time at the you know, base of the line. Too much uhhhh pression."

It is your turn to help - The "Save A Muppet Foundation" needs you!

Re: Boris Becker nicked my court

It's in Munich (Germany). When joined, I was told that the club laid down the Rebound courts especially for Boris, but I didn't believe that. Guess it was true after all!

Ha! Let me guess, when he was practicing his dive-volleys he ended up landing on your court

Re: Boris Becker nicked my court

Space Cowgirl, my husband and I are hoping to come to Munich in 2006 for World Cup (his unlce lives there) so maybe we can meet for a beer... (mmmm, lovely German beer).

Easiest way to get Becker off a court that you want to play on, tell him there's a good looking model hiding in the broom closet. (okay, I'm kidding).

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Re: Boris Becker nicked my court

Happens at Sutton, where I train: Wayne Arthurs often needs courts, and other players on tour sometimes just come along for practice, but it tends to be when it's not as busy (during working day) and everyone is already occupied, in their squad, or practicing etc so don't pay too much attention.

That would be cool, Fee, assuming I'm still here! There is a big possiblility that I will have moved to the Frankfurt area by then though. But Munich is great, and the new football stadium is

Dunno really. The people I was playing with said that he was in the cafe beforehand on his own and nobody was bothering him for autographs or anything. Maybe nobody believed it was him, despite his "shocked hamster" hairdo . He was practising on the 'show' court, which has a separate entrance, so unless you knew he was on that particular court, you would walk by it and not spot him. It has windows all along one side, so it was not possible to stop and watch him practise without him seeing me back. Pity, I would have liked to see how he hits his shots 'for real'
