Probably hit 1000 backhands. I don't think 'rest' is a term those two use in their relationship

I love all aspects of TENNIS.

Federer - The Artist
Murray - The Tactician
Nalbandian - The Ballstriker
Llodra - The S/V

I'd ditch Ferrer and start coaching Almagro. All you have to do is fix his head and you have some real potential

I had Almagro in 5. I thought he'd be motivated and hungry enough to get A) revenge B) advance to a SF as a new high in his career. But I guess he's not prepared yet. I'm at least happy it went to 5. MTF tends to run on a band wagon and expect guys like Wawrinka or Almagro to bend over in 3 sets just because of old slam results

It is good to see these players correct themselves and take their games a bit higher. Wawrinka and Almagro added some value to the late stages of the AO given most of the tournament was players bending over in 3.

I'm not sure anyone who taught Ferrer to hit a backhand like that should be allowed to coach another individual

Almagro had so many chances to serve it out. he was by far the better player today except after he started cramping. Feel bad for him, a SF here would have been huge for his confidence. (and bank account too)

RAFAEL NADAL and GRIGOR DIMITROV

Rafa winning at least one slam in 10 consecutive years is the best achievement in Open Era tennis since Laver won all 4 Grand slam tournaments in the same year!

That is not the correct way to win any tennis match, ever, Almagro.

It was pretty entertaining to watch the score go back and forth in the middle of the match. Ending was lackluster.

I really feel for almagro, cant say he desserve the win, but he was so close! In the end, David showed why he is better ranked.

Almagro looked really hot on those yellow shorts!
