Re: WWW AO QF: Murray vs. Chardy

Chardy/Ferrer/Simon type of players are "poor man's versions" of Andy Murray himself.

These types of matches for the most part give Murray a strong advantage as he's an upgrade over them. A lot more accurate and a lot more powerful during the groundstrokes. After many meetings do these types of players typically upset Murray like Ferrer did. Since it is Chardy's first meeting with Murray, I will say he will lose in 4.

At this stage I doubt Murray would let this thing go to 5. After having attained a slam under his belt psychologically he shouldn't be as stressful as the last couple of years hence why no 4 or 5 setters against his opponents during this tournament.

Re: WWW AO QF: Murray vs. Chardy

Murray has to be watchful and be aggressive at the appropriate times. He's seen first-hand what Chardy was capable of with his booming forehand last year in Cincinnati. As it's Chardy's 1st GS QF, he'll either come out extremely nervous and it'll be a walkover for Murray, or he'll play lights out tennis with nothing to lose and make it a closer match than it really should be.

Have you ever seen Chardy play? He is nothing like Ferrer or Simon.

This is also not their first meeting. Cincinnati last year will enlighten you.

Serverer was baiting. You actually tried to assert it in a serious manner.

And even if you weren't trying to 'pick an argument', why not at least debate it? Can you point me to facts or observations that support the belief that Chardy is more talented than Murray?

I hope Chardy wins this one! But I think Murray in 4...

Djokovic, Federer, Tsonga, Del Potro, Wawrinka, Thiem, Nishikori, Raonic

Congrats Djokovic on winning 2016 French Open and becoming the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to win 4 consecutive majors!

How is Chardy like Ferrer or Simon? Simon is indeed "Murray-like" however, Ferrer is definitely not Murray-like and Chardy is by far the least comparable out of those 4.

Federer / Haas / Safin / Gaudio / Kuerten / Youzhny / Nadal / Gonzalez / Ljubicic / Hewitt / Soderling / Wawrinka / Coria / Nalbandian / Kohlschreiber

Only time I will cheer for Mandy - Noserer vs Chardy slam SF would be a travesty. Might as well give him BYE for the first 6 matches next time.

I also want him to grind Pink Shoes down to weaken him severely for the Djoker in the final

AO SF: Federer def Murray 7-5 6-7 7-5 4-6 20-18 in 5 hours 39 minutes

AO F: Djokovic humiliates Federer 6-1 6-0 6-0 in 57 minutes

Noserer breaks down in tears and announces his immediate retirement from sport and dedicating his life to his girls completely, while Mirka returns to pro tennis and dominates WTA

No, Chardy said that he has an injured knee since his double against the Bryans the day before yesterday.

He won yesterday because Seppi played like shit and Jérémy had a good mind attitude.

But it will be a short end of the story.

Re: WWW AO QF: Murray vs. Chardy

I bet we will have the same old fucking scenario here. Like Wawrinka, like Almagro Chardy will be 1) player in winning position 2) player whose tennis is much more interesting and attacking 3) player who will lose in the end while having a lot oppotunities.
