Expected after the second set, barring a big choke. He was overpowering Seppi, and Seppi was really muggy at times, gifted many points

What's Chardy's H2H versus Murray?

Murray leads H2H 4-1. He was spent from the Olympics the last time he lost to the Frenchman.

People seem to forget Murray has gone through better big hitters than Chardy in the past and I don't expect things to change. Fluke run for Chardy will end soon.

Well done Chardy.

But it will be Murray, easily.

I ain't even mad or sad. too many positives.

Chin up Seppio! it was an awesome chance to keep going but, like i said in the thread vs. Cilic, many things were gained through this tournament showing clear improvement, confirming the good momentum from last season, moments of excellent level + 2 battles were he left the heart on court and were true testaments of great fighting spirit and both mental and physical endurance! I'm sure those had an impact today, but it was to be expected. Fantastic tournament GLADIATORE!

grats to Chardy and ppl who support him, good to see him being consistent. Always dangerous when in the zone.

Re: AO 4R: Jérémy Chardy beat Andreas Seppi [21] | 5-7 6-3 6-2 6-2

Good win from Jeremy, very happy with his performance. I do think he needs to start hitting his backhand more, he doesn't have a bad backhand, so I was a little confused why he adopted the same tactic against Seppi with all the slices. He really shouldn't do this against his next opponent.

Seppi was terribly bad though, he had no tactic and got completely overpowered by the Chardy forehand, which was hard and stable.

As a previous poster said, only Muray, Fed, and Nole left, I sense a first GS title coming

It's nice to see Jerermy get his career back on track and then some.

Don't see him going any further here, but I hope he can use this result to build on for the rest of the year. He's not too old to continue to improve and carve out something decent for himself (incidentally it's fucking weird to realise I'm saying that about someone younger than myself T_T)

Good win for Chardy. Too bad one of them had to lose, although Chardy would give much more of a test to Murray.
