Re: 2014 ATP Calendar Published

I really don't get why people think clay is Ferrer's best surface. It's pretty clearly hard now. He might look better on clay because other players suck there (Tsonga, Murray) but I'm pretty sure he's a better hard court player the last couple years.

I guess I should read that Santiago, Buenos Aires and Bogota will remain on the schedule and that Sao Paulo will disappear.

Finally Acapulco moved to North American swing which seems to be more accurate due to geographical reasons.
São Paulo doesn't disappear. It will be Vina del Mar/Santiago - BsAs - Rio - São Paulo. Bogotá is strangely placed alongside Hamburg, and on hard court.

TT Palmarès

Titles: Astana 2 CH '11, Challenger Tour Finals '11, Kuala Lumpur '12 (w/Dudisela75), Bressuire Futures '13 (w/Marita)

Finals: Fürth CH '11, Orleans CH '11, Petange CH '12, TT Euro '12 (w/Vilnietè)

SF: Australian Open '12, Memphis '12

Acapulco from clay to hard... poor Ferrer.
It's great for Ferrer; means he won't find Nadal there. He'll be fine on hard, just like he is in Valencia, Tokyo, etc.

probably some lower ranked clay courters who counted on it for points and money. Even if Ferrer and Almagro were going to end up in the final every year, ranking points and money for SF and QF rounds is not bad

You get a clue, Nadal has been talking about that event for the better part of last year. The only reason why they got the 500 event is because of Nadal, because he vowed to play in it. He has been promoting it.

It's good that they gave up on that post-WTF South American swing crap. It was instating non-mandatory ATP 500 events that were screwing up with ma jig, if ya know what I mean...

Ferrer is good on any surface anyway. So, there is one name mentioned by MaratandMilos that should not have been there.

They got the 500 event because there's a Brazilian billionaire behind it, in a joint-venture with IMG. Probably also the reason why Nadal was talking about it (and won't be anymore). Correlation is not causation.

Re: 2014 ATP Calendar Published

Federer was already robbed of his 6th year as year end #1 by the calendar last year and robbed of a WTF. Of course they change it now, roger has almost no chance at that record.
