Hehe, good choice from both of you guys!
Too bad Kuznetsov, Zverev don't represent Russia but what can you do!

I would add the Frech Monfils & Tsonga.

Re: Some players to watch in 2005

i'd also say these two french guys, monfils and tsonga are maybe up and coming in 05. i don't think zverev will get through to the big dogs of the tour next year, maybe 06 or 07, he's gonna compete in challengers mostly i guess. we (i'm german) had a couple of those guys in the last decade, who did quite well as juniors, but as they entered the greater tournaments they lost. u guys remember daniel elsner? he was an also-ran. in 96 or something like that he won 3 (!!) gs as a junior plus orange bowl, and what happened? he never really made it. now he's like 400something in the world. makes u go hmmm as a german.
what about gasquet? last year and the year before almost every "expert" like johnny mac talked about him being an amazing player...maybe still too young? nadal is gonna come up definitely!! if he hadn't been injured this would have been a good season for him as well...

I'll agree with Gilles Muller. What about Janko Tipsarevic, he has a lot of fans in the Challenger threads. Anything there?

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

What if he plays some 5 set matches?? There may be more than 21 tiebreaks.

I think the thread is for up and coming, and future prospects, and unestablished players. Ferrero's long been an established player, so I think its expected that we will be seeing big things from him next year.

I second Martijn's suggestion of Igor
He has great potential... Hopefully we'll see more of him in 2005... preferably in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne

Re: Some players to watch in 2005

I see Mayer potientially doing big things next year. I was really impressed with him when he mangaged to take a set off of Agassi, and gave him a tough match.
