Don't think Nole will win AO, he's not as fit as last 2 yrs. The way he is missing balls shows the weakness. If today was berdych would be upset. O wait he plays berdych next haha..

for me it was better, despite i'm a Verdasco fan and i had predicted his win over Murray in the quarters, so i was high on adrenaline big time.

But this now was just absolutely incredible, utterly amazing. The way he saved this second MP had me almost break down and f.ing cry

And people said the courts are playing faster than last year.... it looked like a clay court match.

Good effort from Wawrinka - too bad he is too much of a mug to close a big match out.

Houdiniovic strikes again.

Sad to see Stan cramping while trying his hardest. That's what a normal human being looks like after 4 1/2 hours of hard play. Fakervic on the other hand was sliding and stretching as if nothing had happened. I'm sure he'll be completely fresh for the QF as well. Some of the technology that's legal, like the magic egg pod, is killing this sport for hardworking, fair minded guys like Wawrkinka. What a shame.

The winner of a match is always the better player. That is why they are the winner.

if only he challenged on BP at 4 all in the fifth instead of asking the umpire

Stan He finally played well all throughout without tons of silly and nervy mistakes and still it wasn't enough. He was crying in the end ...

He only had one challenge left. I don't blame him for not using it when the umpire was so certain.

If the umpire had said he wasn't sure / too close for him to call and Stan didn't challenge, then I would blame Stan. But the umpire screwed up.

I can't believe after such an amazing match, all people can say is 'undeserved winner', 'retire already Nole', I haven't seen such a good match in absolutely ages, and both men are to credit for that. Djokovic found a way through in the end, like great champions do, but it could have easily gone the other way. Both guys played great.
More like Cheatervic cheated his way to an undeservered victory. That ball was in, Djoko was broken.

this is true, and one reason umpires shouldn't really advise, ump indicated to Wawa that his ball way clearly out and it actually painted the line. Stan would have had point for advantage I believe and if he had won that game could have served out leading 5-4. that was really unfortunate

great match though honestly haven't felt that tense and much drama in a while

Re: AO R4: Novak Djokovic def Wawrinka 1-6 7-5 6-4 6-7 12-10

Djokovic wasn't lucky.
Stan simply was unlucky!
Novak did what he does the best, winning matches in which he wasn't the best player, and that's why even as his countryman I can cheer for him.

Kudos to Stanly for amazing tennis, better luck next time buddy!

Hope Stan can continue this level of play and reach the top 10 again.
