Re: AO R4: Djokovic warriors past Wawrinka 1-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-3, 6-7(5), 12-10

incredible match, one of the best I've watched in years. reminds me a bit of ROddick Vs. Federer 2009, because you feel like Stan really had the match on his racket at times yet still lost. heart breaking for him. intense great quality especially through parts of the match at the end. happy for Novak, real class act a moment ago in the post match short on court interview admitting that Wawrinka really had him at a lot of moments in the match

by far the best match of 2013 and frankly the best I can remember in a long time

beware rest of tour, Stan Wawrinka is in fantastic form this season. and Novak hopefully you can recover the energy in time for Berdych

Stan

All those missed opportunities You can't allow them against a player as Novak but on the other hand it's an incredible effort how he was able to make the match that close.

Have a good recovery now and then beat Tomas at the Davis Cup

Congrats to Novak. Unreal how he always finds a way to get out of trouble in a match...

Just a lucky bastard, his retirement can't come soon enough. He won't win this tournament.

I can't believe after such an amazing match, all people can say is 'undeserved winner', 'retire already Nole', I haven't seen such a good match in absolutely ages, and both men are to credit for that. Djokovic found a way through in the end, like great champions do, but it could have easily gone the other way. Both guys played great.

Djokovic will have to work incredibly hard in the next match. Berdych has been playing very well and will be tough, hopefully fatigue won't play too big of a factor in that match.

Cheatervic actually lost this match. Wawa won it.

Great match. This call from Molina was weird, but hey, the point would have been replayed and even if Stan would have broken, he would have to serve for the match after, and we saw in the second set that it's hardly a garanty.

Stan was very good but Nole was pretty poor overall. 5 hours and third longest match in the history of the australian open. Let's see if Djokovic can recover that easily

The way Stan was saving those match points, the way Nole converted the last one, the whole match - everything was absolutely amazing.

Kudos to both and from now on Stan is in my all time favorite players list.

Not close enough. Too many onesided moments. The drama in the fifth makes up for a lot, and the MP is infinitely better than the Nando DF
