I really hoped Stan wins ofc, but tbh not for the sake of Roger having an easier time, rather because a good chunk of us (Fedtards) like one handed BH players and Stan would be one we'd prefer over Nole, Rafa, Pony, etc. eventually that is.

I would love a Fed - Nole final tbh, i would prefer it 10 times to one against Ferrer or whoever on this side of the table.
If Nole lost today on this side of draw in finals would be either Ferrer or Wawrinka and they are both known to loose badly always against Federer.

Djokovic took set 6-4 against Berdych.

“Does Djokovic resemble myself?” Agassi said. “No, he is even better. He defends really well, while I struggled more in that element of the game. Novak looks totally relaxed when defending, completely calm and the quality of his return is incredible. He is also extremely flexible in his game, which is facilitated by his ability to anticipate his rival’s moves. That is why I think he is a much more versatile player than I was and he is also much more athletic.”

we have a hard time with a Rafaless RG tittle already, i'd prefer a slam against another real contender rather than a walkover really.

Oh really? Berdych doesn't exist I take it?

STAN! Man, I wish he could play like this more often. I'm not really a fan of his, but I still felt gutted when he lost.

Few Novak fans (if any at all) in this thread have disagreed with the view that Wavrinka would have been a deserving winner in this match. He deserved it IMHO as much as Novak, but at the end of the day, only one of them could pass the finishing line and that happened to be Novak. The bickering in this thread is entirely about the various "reasons" why Novak allegedly isn't a deserving winner. Of course such claims will prompt some to react, as it's pretty silly to argue that someone who fought his way to a 12-10 win in the 5th set is an "undeserving winner".

Stan played match of his career so kudos to him. On other hand, no doubt Nole will recover easily and beat Berdych comfortably

There's nothing better in this sport than a GOATing singlehanded backhand. Stan played off his tit for the vast majority of the match but against Djokovic you virtually have to redline 95% of the time AND pray nothing dodgy happens to have a chance of beating him on hard court. Still it was nice to watch Nole's expression of bemusement for the first two sets but you always knew he'd turn it around and slowly blunt Stan's huge groundstrokes. Stan deserves huge credit for not folding (like Cilic against Murray at the USO) and almost snatching the match despite being behind after playing career best tennis. It would have been better for Stan to play like this against Murray.

their

And by the way, thank you for considering me a believer but I was a doubter since Stan couldn't close the 2nd set. Anyone can easily see it in my posts in the "Live Commentary" thread. I've been around tennis long enough to know how this matches usually go.

How you thought I kept my hopes until the end means you just hate me and a couple of other Federer fans as you most probably hate Roger and so you post made up shit. Either troll right or write truths don't invent lies.

Yes, Berdych will bend over to Djokovic no doubt.

Oh dear, that mistake could've cost Wawrinka the game. Although he may not have closed it out - if he had closed out the 2nd set it wouldn't be such an epic.

But seriously, what a game. I felt this was gonna be routine after the 2nd, and also the 3rd, but instead of fading out, he got back up. Credit to Wawrinka for even making it close.

Nole is still too good though.

Also, fuck me, both you fanbases are nobs.

I'd also feel bad if I were Tomas Berdych. If Wawrinka won, he may well have been the favourite to win the AO.

Great match. felt sorry for Stan as I do any player who plays an epic match like this and loses. But I never really saw any winner other than Djokovic. I hope he's not too worn out for Berdych who I don't care for at all.
Matches like this are fantastic for tennis.

Never thought of it that way. He certainly would boost his chances immensely. I can perfectly see him beating Wawrinka and Ferrer/Almagro but he would still probably need to beat Murray in the finals.

1) Can someone shortly explain that Egg story? Is that a MTF insider I haven't seen or what?

2) As a big Wawrinka fan since many many years I really believe that this loss will affect his 2013 season in a negative way.
