Re: Tomic will win a major for sure

If he continues to work hard he will eventually win. His game improved a lot this year but he was unlucky to face Federer, who is the worst possible match up for him on the tour. Federer cannot be beaten with intelligent tennis, he can only be defeated by an absolute overpowering game, which something Tomic still lakced this year. When he continues to improve on his fitness, serve, and backhand he will be very hard to play against. Unlike other tall players, his court positioning is MUCH better. By utilizing that great slice of his he keeps himself in position and draw errors from opponents. He's also got the height and a tricky forehand that allows him to pull the trigger whenever he needs to that would put most players on the defense. He's also got good feel to the ball that makes him a decent player at the net and possess a good drop shot.

The BIGGEST (borderline delusional) fan of players on General Message Board according to Forehander:
Grigor Dimitrov: FedererBulgaria
Borna Coric: Crowdmaker
Nick Krygios: Dan.
Tommy Haas: Leng Jai
Sebastien Grosjean: Myself
Novak Djokovic: Chiico (Leader of the No1e Cult)

I think there is a danger he will be a Baghdatis, Nalbandian, Rios type. Lots of talent, lots of big wins but no Major.

Re: Tomic will win a major for sure

lol I thought many years back after his Junior performance that he'd be a potential to win a slam or two especially after the Wimbledon run which he made Djokovic look a bit uncomfortable during the early sets but ever since then he hasn't really shown any hunger in the game and on top of that his overall techniques haven't gotten a lot better. I think he'll end up like Cilic just a guy that's tiring to face in the early rounds, that's all.

Re: Tomic will win a major for sure

There is a shorter window of opportunity with him than the others. He doesn't seem like the personality that will hang around the sport if he can't win a major in the next 5-6 years. But this young generation is so bad that maybe he'll be able to beat a 31 year old novak or murray. But roger is still kicking ass so he may be screwed until late 20s

LOL at pinktards hyping another pigeon after Roddick, Hewitt, Soderling, Davydenko, Ferrer et al, because the pigeon poses no immediate danger to their player and glorifies their player by bending down nicely.

Fancy circus tennis and snail movement, which is all what Tomic is, cannot win grandslams.

Boring bandwagon thread. Call me when Tomic accomplishes something.

over rated player. good in bursts, but over 5 sets, 7 matches in a row? gimme a break

djoko/murray/nadal had better movement at the same age.

Obviously. Tomic will never have good movement.

Yeah. And it don't matter. Tomug has big match temperament. And that is all that matters.

For me Tomic is better than Dimitrov and Raonic. He's the only player right now that can stop Djokovic.
