Only saw the lasr set but very impressed by Mucho's performance. And keeping his head cool with the very annoying supporters for Janowicz.

jerzy couldn't rally with him. It was funny hearing "davaj jerzy!" and "fight jerzy!" whenever he badly missed a shot from those fans.

dammit, why did Almagro have to be solid and level-headed today? No mental walkabout or meltdowns.

Both guys serving bombs for two sets. Not much rhythm or rallies. Then JJ too nervous in the tiebreaks. then just too tired in the 3rd. Good run for him, though.

Re: AO 3R: Almagro sends Janowicz back to Poland 7-6 (3) 7-6 (4) 6-1

Only saw set 1 and 2, both were serving incredibly well. Almagro was slightly better off the ground. I was surprised by Almagro's respect for Janowicz and his excellent gamesmanship in this match (reminding umpire that Janowicz wanted to challenge, apologising for badly hit shots that fell in). If he starts behaving like this, I have no other choice than to root for him

Jerzy needs to work on his returngame, because he was hitting loads of second serve returns in the net. Other than that he was playing quite well, Almagro was just the better player today.

They have a relatively long and nice exchange at the net in the end. Very respectful toward each other.

I was hoping Janowicz could manage to win this, although the result is not unexpected. Oh well, congrats to Almagro.

I support a lot of mugs.

Almagro beats the overrated one, good work

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

Mugro was very good. His best shot at a GS hardcourt QF coming up.
