Re: Federer outsmarts Dangerdenko 6-3 6-4 6-4

all this nonsense about tough draw or easy draw. Have all of you been living under a rock the past 4 or so years? The Rosol match was an anomaly; the top-4 guys get to the SF more often than not, regardless of the draw. Fact is, a very limited number of players on a very very good day, stand a chance against any of the top-4, when they are atleast slightly off.

Federer was never in any danger against either Paire or Davydenko, and I'd be highly surprised if Tomic' apathy will throw him off. Same goes for Djokovic and Murray. Ferrer is not as good as these guys so he'll have a harder time.

What a warrior this Federer. Such a terrible draw but he is battling through. Great spirit.

There was some lovely shotmaking by Roger in the first two sets but then there were also errors. I think he was just trying to go for low percentage shots to get some practice in.

Lol, nice try. Look at your "contribution" to this thread and this is now your second very on-topic post. Why should you expect to be received well when you join the chorus of whiners?

The funny thing is, if Fed had played a little worse here and lost a set or two, then the haters would NOT be whining about easy draws right now.

What surprised me in this match was that Davydenko served as many aces as Federer(9) and got his serve up to 210 kmh

Indeed, the serve was good on both sides. Although going by some of the comments in this thread, you'd think this was a trash match.

exactly. Like Fed is some journeyman so straight sets against Paire and Davydenko are huge surprise.

Would like to hear which guy had harder first two opponents
