Although that might imply as wishing injury/death I thought that was a hilarious comment as well.
Too bad mods probably deleted it and banned the guy.

Is there a vid of that one?

What the hell was he doing over there? I watched about all of Fed matches (2004-onwards) but can't remember that one.

I love how Gael is doing that cartwheel on break point. How can you hate the guy? He always brings a smile to my face.

Very interesting way to serve out a match. I guess it was a little expected considering the amount of DFs he made, but oh well. Hoping he stays injury free this year (as unlikely as that may be) to get back to the top 10.

The clearest video I could find. My dad and I were watching and thinking that match had nothing in it that warranted a celebration of any sort. Expected him to get off the court hiding like this:

And he did the motorbike thing twice as well.

What a punk.

After 2 rounds, Monfils has the most aces (55) and DFs (39)

Monfils is always entertaining even when he doesn't play all that great. I'm a big fan of Monfils. Hopefully he'll stay injury free and he should be right back in the top 10.

I've met his coach and staff before...
Pretty much as crazy as he is.

Re: AO R2: Monfils clowns past Lu 7-6(5) 4-6 0-6 6-1 8-6

It bothers me when people call Monfils an underachiever.

On what grounds? By what standard, really? His success as a junior]? At what time throughout his career has he shown any serious qualities of a top level player?

He is an extremely athletic specimen, I give you that. By some definition, he might even be talented. But never in his time on tour has he ever shown an aptitude for sustainable top-level tennis. He especially has never shown the mind for such, and it seems that he will be forever impeded by his awful mentality on court.

Athletic, I concede. Talented, okay. But how can we call him an underachiever if he hasn't even put himself in the position, on a professional level, to achieve the heights to which he is held?
