Exclamation Del Potro - When Will The Hype Stop?

It's coming up on four years since he won anything of note. Argitards are still convinced he is on the comeback trail, and that every year will be 'his year'. However he keeps crashing out in every tournament as soon as he plays someone decent.

So, how many more losses will it take? When will the cultists accept that he's just another top 10 player?

He's a grandslam winner, there is no hype about him. No one is saying he's the best in the world.

Re: Del Potro - When Will The Hype Stop?

People have difficulty accepting he is a one-slam wonder. Spudtro fans have been talking him up as the big threat to the top 4, when he hasn't produced anything in years that indicates he is even worthy of smelling Ferrer's jockstrap.

I want to know when his fans will stop talking about his next Slam, and maybe focus on him trying to win a Masters title.

After his slam win, we've had three AOs, three FOs, three Ws and three USOs. If you feel that is closer to four than three, then I can but disagree.

Of course.

And obviously you forgot that he lost 1 year for the wrist injury.

Re: Del Potro - When Will The Hype Stop?

Spudtro fans have been whining about that year off forever. When are you going to give it up? This is my question. How much more fail must you endure before you stop keeping the faith? One year? Two? Three?

Or will you still be planning a comeback by Juan Martin del Cyborgtro in 2071?

Dimitrov or Harrison hype should be stopped first.

It can not be stopped. The hype is like a divine aura around his presence never leaving him. Small perk that comes with being the GOAT.
