AO R2: J.Tipsarevic outlasted L.Lacko 6-3 6-4 3-6 4-6 7-5

Needed a five-setter and an extra break in the decider to get the job done but Lacko proved himself to be a quality opponent.

A couple of MTOs also spiced up the encounter especially the one on Janko's side.

Problem, MTF?

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

Shame. Gutted for Lukas. What a wasted talent. He outplayed Janko in the last 3 sets.

Lacko surprised me today. Props to him, wish him all the best in 2013, get new career high.

Janko, don't break my nerves like that man. You are not Troicki. And it's so unfair that he had to play 2 very hard opponents in 1st 2 rounds while we have some mugs winning against bigger mugs.
Benny next.

Haters can do what? Well, suck it of course.

Djokovic | Tipsarevic | Querrey

I'd say he outplayed him in first two, too, but that's tennis when you don't take those crucial points.
At least we saw GOAT MTO

While Montenegro was part of Yugoslavia, its internet domain was .yu, now it is .me

Excellent match, highly enjoyable. Very clutch MTO from Tipsy in the fifth set =p

Hope Tipsy doesn't flake out next round after going 5 here.

Better player of the day lost. Pity.

A shame, crowd was 100% behind Lacko. There may be quite a few tards on this board, but the general public doesn't lie. Crowd always cheers against Fakervic and Fixarevic (even in Belgrade which is probably why they canned that tournament), crowd boos Murray even in London, and crowd always gets up for the bathroom in between Nadal serves The future of tennis without Federer is grim...

Hopefully Ferrer makes a repeat of the USO.

didn't see the match, but judging the comments and the scoreline it was a thriller. Good victory for Janko, and I hope Lukas takes some confidence from this, despite him losing. The guy can play very well.
