Hopefully Ferrer makes a repeat of the USO.

very good match, shame Lacko couldn't somehow pull it off in the end.

Crowd was completely on Tipsarevic's side, except in final set when Janko had a lead - because they wanted thriller.

Re: AO R2: J.Tipsarevic outlasted L.Lacko 6-3 6-4 3-6 4-6 7-5

That was an amazing match. Lacko was a better player in this match and really should´ve win it. Tipsarevic was lucky to be 2-0 up, break conversion in first 2 sets says it all: Tips 2/2, Lacko 0/8. Then Lacko started to play unreal tennis and deserved that 5th set, he was destroying Tipsarevic with winners from everywhere. Lacko had a first BB in 5th at 1-1, but Tipsarevic responded with an ace. It was a great fight where Tipsarevic really played his best and was a bit better at the end. Excellent match overall, shame for Lacko. I´ve never seen him fighting like that, that´s really sad he still lost after that.

Lacko came back from 2-5 to lose 5-7, whatta pitty

Dunno how long Janko will hold with these 5 setters and another one coming right after here...

Re: AO R2: J.Tipsarevic outlasted L.Lacko 6-3 6-4 3-6 4-6 7-5

Lacko was huffing and puffing like a gasbag at the end Clearly he is not fit which is ironic because last night Jarkko was deep in the fifth and looked fresh as a daisy...Really sad when older guys are more fit than guys 10 years younger than them...Tipsy would have lasted longer anyways cuz the dude is fit...Congrats, Janko and let the haters eat this one up...

Lacko made the 3R round here last year coming through qualifying so this surface suits his game well...Janko got fucked with these two hard opponents in the first two rounds; not easy outs at all...Hope he takes advantage of his draw and continues to prove everyone wrong that his ranking is deserved...Harder road means you gotta be mentally tough and keep truckin....Keep going, Janko

There is no difference in terms of natural talent between these 2 imo. However, one is hardworker and the other one isn't. Shame. Lukas could be much better player. Hope he makes the top 30 this year at least.

Tough love for Lacko. He was the better player for a majority of the match, and his offensive game proved that he's much more talented than Janko. But at 6-5*, proved why Tipsy is in the top 10. He might not be the bigger ballstriker, but he timed his push to perfection on those last couple of points to outfox and edge Lukas 7-5. Unreal defence and passing shots to end it. Shame for Lacko because if he won, it would have looked even worse for Spewitt. But this'll be a great confidence booster for Tipsy, to have fended off a fightback - something that he probably didn't have the ability to do, a year or two ago.

Two encounters between these two so far and both were five setters.

The previous one: 2008 Davis Cup WG Play-offs
Tipsarevic def. Lacko 6-7(3), 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(5), 8-6

More talented? The stats prove otherwise...Lacko shows up a few times a year and the rest of his results are abysmal...Lacko could never play the match vs Ferrer at the USO that Tipsy did...Even his Hewitt match was oustanding tennis and fightback...Guess you are hating on Janko cause he trashed Hewitt in straights? If Lacko was talented, he would get fit and work hard and use his "talent" like certain members of the Top 10

that's funny from a guy who has a quote degrading an entire country of people, just so he can justify his hatred of one tennisplayer.

Lacko had one MTO when Janko was in the lead
