Bulldozes is right, it's like he's gone up even another level, I really don't see anyone being able to beat him, unless Murray has something up his sleeve, but I don't think so.

Djoker will take some stopping here. If Harrison really is one of the brightest hopes for the future of tennis, God help us.

Re: AO R2: Djokovic bulldozes Harrison 6-1, 6-2, 6-3

Alright stop the hate on Harrison, I was quoting foolish posters but then there was just too much even for me to respond to. So I will just give blanket answer in response to all the points you haters are making.

1) Ryan isn't touted or ranked high because he's American, you just hate him because he's American.
2) If you think Ryan has made no progress in the past two years, you would also be incorrect. He went from 220+ to top 50 in the world. His ranking has dipped a bit in the last 6 months but overall he's being going in a positive direction.
3) There's a difference between not having weapons and not using them, Harrison hits a huge ball off the forehand, processes an excellent serve (can hit 130+mph) and has excellent vollies. He seems to be most comfortable however, playing a defensive counter punching style.

The jury is out on Harrison but Novak was just too strong today. I feel like however in 3 years I will be bumping this thread and reminding all you fools about when you said Ryan Harrison had no weapons and would never amount to anything on tour.

Obviously he is, but not one of the most gifted ever (like Maradona, Platini, Messi, Laudrup, Garrincha, Cruyff, etc).

it was probably harrison trying to hurt faker with faker retrieving and retrieving until finally getting an opening for a passing shot. no doubt harrison got desperate and frustrated and decided to try a slightly different approach, alas to no avail. that's what faker usually provokes in his rivals (if not for his game, it is because of his antics).

faker will do well in this tournament but hopefully he doesn't win it. his one dimensional generic playing style isn't something to admire. he's the product of many hours at the gym running like a rabbit and training like ivan drago in rocky III. he's the closest parallel to cristiano ronaldo in football. the little talent he has is poorly covered by his efforts.

..and it was Rocky IV you poor thing..

I don't see anyone stopping Djokovic from winning the title.

i wouldn't underestimate andy at all, unless he gets troubled by fed (delpo may just tire him a bit).

ASI Director-General Gautam Sengupta said the list of India's treasures held abroad was "too long to handle" and there was a need for a "diplomatic and legal campaign" for their restitution from institutions, including the British Museum, the Royal Collection and the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

Re: AO R2: Djokovic bulldozes Harrison 6-1, 6-2, 6-3

I can see Andy making the final given he tends to perform well in Australia but I'm not sure if the consistency is there to defeat Djokovic for a 2nd time at a slam.

It was nice to see him defeat Federer and Djokovic last season in two best of 5 set matches but I'm not sure if the consistency is still there. His serve will have to show up like the U.S. Open and he'll have to play more aggressive with the forehand.

We'll see.
