Millman one sitter away form *6:5 in the fifth. Hesitated . Did not win a point afterwards.

Re: Australian Open R1: Ito d. Millman 6-4 6-4 3-6 0-6 7-5

Mailman came back twice from being a break down in the fifth. He also was close to breaking Ito at 5-5 if I'm not mistaken. But in the end couldn't do it.

Such small margins in this sport. Props to Ito for grinding it out.

Yeah, at least it was Ito winning. Nice tactic saving himself for the 5th.

Well that rubbish volley at 5-5 BP cost Millman the match.

saddest result of today. feel so bad for johny, he is a great guy, has improved a lot, and was so close to take it after coming back from 2 sets down and 1-4 down in 5th set. so sad. next time johny, what a great heart you have

Love to see the journeymen japanese players like Ito and Soeda win Used to be a big Hyung Taek Lee fan, those guys are so geographically disadvantaged they're probably the hardest workers on tour. Nothing against Nishikori but he's a Bollettieri guy, it's not really the same cheering for him.

Eurosport are ****s. They said after Baghdatis closed out against Ramos he would play Johnny next. Great misinformation.

Don't the Japanese players receive a massive amount of funding though?
