How much longer till Gilbert dumps Andy!!!

I don't know if anyone has noticed. But there has been a very strong change in the body language of Gilbert in the last few tournaments I have seen Andy play in. Gilbert doesn't have the same enthusiasm he use to have. He seems bored and pissed off most of the time. Do you guys think Gilbert is ready to head off in a different direction? Gilbert said his most wanted coaching prospect is the William's sisters. Maybe he thinks Roddick is past his peak? Any thoughts...

Nice thought, but is'nt there a speculation that Rogi is waiting for Daren Cahill - Baldy's coach?

He has Tony Roche and that's good enough.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Does Brad Gilbert still have that Metallica cap that he always wears when he watches Andy play??
Hm.... He would like to coach the Williams' Sisters?? Has he coached any female players before??

Re: How much longer till Gilbert dumps Andy!!!

Lynne, Brad coached the teenaged French woman, Golivan (sp?). She's gotten a little press this year.

henree, I hadn't noticed any new body language. I would guess that Brad wants to be with Andy when/if Andy starts to get some wins over Roger. That's where Andy is focusing and he's making great strides from the improved physique and BH I've seen this week. Andy's net play is still in and out. But, he's incorporating it on a regular basis. Plus, Brad's resume looks better if he can be with Andy and get a couple more majors like AO and another USO.

Where does the Williams sisters rumor come from? That would be a very uncharacteristic development.

Yes, and it looks rather awkward, although very effective.
Awkward yet effective, that could define Duckboy's game very well.

Sorry, Ducklanders, I would really like to say something nice about his recent victories, but I just can't.
I still don't enjoy watching his tennis, and am not impressed at all by all those TB wins, in fact, it's quite sad that one of the worst returners in the game is world #2.

Re: How much longer till Gilbert dumps Andy!!!

Gilbert also worked a bit with Mary Pierce. I don't see them spliting apart, he gets nervous out there biting his nails. He wants Andy to win out thereand you can. And the little blurb of Gilbert wanting to coach the william sisters seems like crap to me. Henree if you think Andy's past his peak, then the Williams sisters aren't necesarilly close to their peaks, they have been passed (though I would give Serena a decent shot at regaining some of her 2002 form but not back to normal).
