WD Kei

Hanescu practically gave up in the 4th set.

To the future!

Nishikori, Berankis, Raonic, Kuznetsov, Dimitrov, Coric

Not a good performance, but got it done and that's what matters. The fact that he didn't let this turn into one of his trademark early round 5-set mugathons is a plus as well. He should pick up his game as he advances through the draw.

Only concern is his knee - he took another MTO today for a knee massage - hope it can hold up for the entire tournament. Authom or Berlocq next, should be an easy second round.

MTF games titles:

Suicide Tennis (5): Wimbledon 2014, World Tour Finals 2015, Madrid 2015, Kuala Lumpur 2014 and Metz 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 WTF, 1 Masters 1000, 2 ATP 250; 2 finals lost

Fill-in-the-Draw (3): US Open 2014, Rotterdam 2013 and Geneva 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 ATP 500 and 1 ATP 250

Tennis Tipping (3): Veneza and Todi 2014 (with vn01), Knoxville 2015 (with Redkop) - 3 challengers; 7 finals lost

I'm worried about Nishikori spending extra sets in the sun. he needs to make a deep run here.

Solid start Nishi. Obviously didn't panic after 1st set.

that choke in the 4th by Hanescu, dear god. Absolute sitter with Nishikori at net to break at 3-3 15-40, makes UE on next one too, broken from GP up next game

Kei choked away a lot of BPs in the first set, not a great performance but at least he's through.

Surprised Hanescu won a set  , nishikori should have won easier, don't like his chances to go far.
