Nadal not playing Miami

Randy Walker ‏@TennisPublisher
ESPN's Cliff Drysdale just said that Nadal announced that he's not playing Miami this year. He is joining Federer on sidelines at IMG event

I assume this is due to him leaving IMG rather than his 'injuries'

Loses 360 points though.

Re: Nadal not playing Miami

Wasn't this out there already? He wanted to cut down on hardcourt events.

Rafa winning at least one slam in 10 consecutive years is the best achievement in Open Era tennis since Laver won all 4 Grand slam tournaments in the same year!

Re: Nadal not playing Miami

Great !!! The two best players will not play a MS 1000. If Federer takes time off as Nadal then the man tennis will go down very quickly. Ferrer can win when Nadal,Fed or Djokovic are not there, The same goes to Berdych,Tsonga,Del Potro,Tipsarevic and these guys are top ten players, So where is the strong golden era. If you have no challenges then what kind of sport is that

Re: Nadal not playing Miami

was anyone seriously expecting this clown to actually man up and play hard courts?

he's staying on clay for the rest of his career by the looks of it

Re: Nadal not playing Miami

Then there's virtually no reason for him to play Indian Wells (sorry if this was announced already).

Please, bite your tongue immediately! I am going to Indian Wells so I hope Rafa doesn't withdraw.
