Re: Julien Boutter retires

Boutter was a great guy, he had a lot of problems with his shoulder and has retired and now has a major organising role in the Metz indoor tournament.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Boutter Retires

http://www.sportinglife.com/tennis/n...a-Boutter.html

French tennis player Julien Boutter is to quit the ATP circuit at the age of 30 because of persistent problems with his right shoulder.

Boutter, who achieved a career-high ranking of 46 in 2002 and won one ATP title win in Casablanca in 2003, had surgery on the injury last year.

He has not played since losing in the first round against Juan Carlos Ferrero of Spain at Wimbledon.

Boutter told his hometown paper the Republican Lorrain: "For three weeks I have not been able to train normally.

"In fact it's all over and I am happy about that. If tennis had been the only thing in my life it might have been tough."

Boutter may continue to play at club level with Metz and also hopes to coach children while he may take an organisational role with the Moselle Open, an ATP event in his home town.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Julien Boutter retires

Very lamentable. He had an enjoyably manic on-court persona.
