Re: Will Ferrer win a slam this year?

very very small chance and only at roland garros if Rafa is out early/injured. No chance at any other major

why mugrraytards use to support ferrer? I know they are both ugly pushers but you dont support every pusher on tour

Every one will believe that Ferrer will win because Murray is awful as hell on clay but he'll pull the ultimate troll and thrash Ferrer in 3. Not likely, but it could happen, especially considering Lendl was good on Clay and will hopefully be giving Andy all the help and advise he needs to finally play well on the surface.
I just thought I'd post this to refresh your memory and remind you how big of a scrub Murray is on clay. All that winning outside of clay has somehow given you the illusion he can play on the dirt as well, it seems.

This is a joke thread. How many people in it have predicted Ferrer will win a slam?

As always, though, don't let facts get in the way.

Yeah, but he needs the top 3 to be out before the second week, which is highly unlikely.

No it hasn't.... I have always been truthful that Murray is shite on Clay.

Lol at people wrighting off Ferrer. He is PEAKING, that means he is reaching a new level for himself. He also seems to be peaking at the perfect time. With Nadals fitness in doubt, the path willl be clear for Dave to take his first GS title at the FO.

At least he didnt have them until now.
I agree with you. I think he'll be able to be on the last rounds of some Grand Slams this year, for sure be in the ATP World Tour Finals, but I don't see Ferrer winning any Slam. He deserves one title like this, Ferrer is a player that trains a lot and puts lot of effort practicing every day, he is a hard worker and more aggressive than Nadal and other clay baseline players (for this reason he is able to win lot of matches on hard and grass courts). However, as cveks says, Ferrer has lot of consistency: he keeps himself at high level all the year and he plays a serious tennis from the baseline. This helps him in order to win most of the players that are on the tour (including exceptional players like Berdych, Tsonga, Del Potro, etc.). But I don't see him beating Djokovic or Federer (and Murray if they play on grass or hard) in Grand Slam tournaments. He can upset some of this players, but not in a Grand Slam final.

Maybe Ferrer will win some clay Masters 1000 tournament this year. He deserves it. More than a Masters 1000 title? We will see. I'm stating my opinion thinking about the level that Ferrer showed last year. He has played well on Abu Dhabi, Doha and Auckland.

Nole/Murray for AO. Rafa/Nole for RG. Murray/Rafa for Wimby. Murray/Nole for USO. Fed also pulled out of Miami the fifth slam, so...

Scotch whiskey is really good, but I think you drank too much this time.

If he plays his best he can reach one or two SF where he will get routined by a member of top3. Of course he can lose few rounds earlier if he meets some top 40 player on fire.

Yes, as Nadal is the only player who is better than Ferrer

Of course he won't win a slam, he's simply not good enough.
