Very weird since it's clear to all that he should try a different coach for at least a year. He did a little better results-wise during that stint away from his parents (late 2011?). Then he went back to the nest at the beginning of the next season and like clockwork it was back to underperforming. Very hard to explain without going into unwarranted armchair psychologizing. Don't know the guy. Just watch him play, when I can.
I just don't think parents as coaches are good combinations tbh. Sure they might know what they're talking about and do absolutely fine coaching others, but coaching their own son means there's going to be more arguments and disagreements.
