AO's legs are spread open for him IMO. Would be fucking hilarious if he misses this golden opportunity.

It will be very tough for Gasquet if Tsonga is fit. He is just much better player

While I haven't seen Gasquet play so far, I haven't been impressed with Tsonga. So maybe this is the time.

Andy Murray: 2012 Olympic gold and silver medalist. US Open Champ. Wimbledon champ. Never been prouder of him.

The Brian Baker Story. Proof that truth is stranger than fiction... until Hollywood buys the rights and proceeds to keep screwing the script up.

Only one step is left. The hardest one, though.

Gasquet is next №1

He can do it

He has had a bad start in all 3 matches. Can't afford this in the next round.

He's just not good enough against the top 8 when it comes to playing them in big matches.

It still doesn't explain how he managed to win only one of his 14 appearances in 1/8 final of Grand Slams.
You don't deserve to be in top 10 or even to make the last 16 of Grand Slams if you're not able to beat top 8 players more than once in 14 tentatives.
I'm sure any other guy in top 30 could have probably done better than him had they had as many chances as him.

Wait, you actually thought he had a shot ?

Just be happy Gasquet is healthy and has found some consistency that should allow him to be in the 9-12 area of the ranking and win some titles for a while, instead of setting yourself up for inevitable disappointment.

Tsonga is just better and more talented, better serve, better forehand, better skills at the forecourt.... the outcome was entirely predictable. Gasquet has no weapons to trouble any of the current top 8 on big matches, it is how it is. He could reach another QF some time if he maintains his recent consistency and has a lower ranked opponent in R4 somewhere.

MTF games titles:

Suicide Tennis (5): Wimbledon 2014, World Tour Finals 2015, Madrid 2015, Kuala Lumpur 2014 and Metz 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 WTF, 1 Masters 1000, 2 ATP 250; 2 finals lost

Fill-in-the-Draw (3): US Open 2014, Rotterdam 2013 and Geneva 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 ATP 500 and 1 ATP 250

Tennis Tipping (3): Veneza and Todi 2014 (with vn01), Knoxville 2015 (with Redkop) - 3 challengers; 7 finals lost

Re: Gasquet finally to make GS QF again at AO-13

Gasquet's H2H in slams vs the top 8 guys:

Djokovic leads 1-0
Federer leads 2-0
Murray leads 4-0
Nadal leads 2-0
Ferrer leads 2-0
Berdych leads 1-0
Del Potro 0-0
Tsonga leads 2-1

That's a fucking joke for a top 10 player to say the least.

Re: Gasquet finally to make GS QF again at AO-13

Epic fail, and Tsonga was horrendous as well

Might as well put a 6-year old kid with a plastic racquet in the fourth round instead, and you can bet that Gasquet will still lose to him in 4 sets.

However, 2005 Wimbledon(against Nalbandian at that time he ranked 19), USOP(against Ginepri),
2008 AO(against Tsonga but he played unbelievably), and 2012 Wimbledon(against F.Mayer at that time he ranked 29) weren't top10 opponents
He wasted many chances
