Red Group, Match 2 : Lleyton Hewitt d. Carlos Moya 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-4

Well done Lleyton! Very crucial to get that win as I think he has a good chance of beating Gaston and that hopefully should be enough to qualify for the semis

Sorry Carlos , but Lleyton takes priority

Carlos is out

but he looked ok considering his 1st match in 2 months.

this match decided who went thru
had Carlos won, then Hewitt still had a chance

now gp is over

Re: Red Group, Match 2 : Lleyton Hewitt d. Carlos Moya 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-4

Moya :retard: He didn't have a return of serve whatsoever in this match. Nice stuff from Hewitt though, his serve was very good today and his winners/errors ratio was good as well. Moya's tank of a 2nd set was disgusting, and the final points he played to get broken in that 3rd set was hilarious. When Hewitt is on the dead run and looking to hit a forehand, he'll go down the line almost everytime, but Moya stood in the middle like an idiot and was easily passed. Also Moya should really try to hit some more backhands instead of running around 97% or them. His backhand is pretty good and can hold up well, instead he runs around it to hit forehands and they cost him territory and the point sometimes. Nice match by both and this was a very crucial match for either one of them because now they both have to face Gaudio and Federer, one almost a guaranteed win, the other a guaranteed loss.

If ever there was a need for instant replay, I hope this match proved it.

I think there were at least six different calls that were disgusting, especially one at 30-30 (I could be wrong bout the score). Moya even asked at one point.

What a yucky, horrible day.

Well done to Lleyton

I always enjoy the matches between Carlos and Lleyton- they are very intense and you know Lleyton always gives 100%.

Carlos started off well winning the 1st set, but then in the 2nd the blade broke off from the handle and that was the end of his peeling efforts.

Hopefully a peeler made in Switzerland will prove to be of higher quality and durability

Carlos, how could you after winning that TB? Oh well, just try to win 1 match, then go back to Spain cos the team needs you to win your matches...

Will we see Carlos/Gaston tomorrow on ESPN??

Carlos has to beat Gaudio in straight sets to have any hope of qualifying for the semis.

even a Carlos win over Gaudio wont help

no one in the right mind thinks Hewitt is gonna lose to Gaudio.

I just hope that Gaudio can trouble Hewitt tho...

Gaudio can trouble many people so it's never easy to play him.

Too bad Carlos couldn't tough it out today. I was hoping he would take advantage of Lleyton's tightness to close out the match...

It's over, Is more than likely that Hewitt will qualify alongside with Roger. as TBE said I don't see Guadio beating Hewitt if Lleyton plays like he did it today. In the Other hand I don't see Carlos beating Roger

Well, at least I think Carlos's shoulder is enough recovered to kick Roddick ass in Sevilla next month

Re: Red Group, Match 2 : Lleyton Hewitt d. Carlos Moya 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-4

The positive thing for Carlos here is definitely that he seems to be fit and that his shoulder problems are gone.

I was quite impressed by Carlos' game even though it was not enough at the end.

But the point Lleyton played to earn the break point in the third set that he finally successfully converted, was just awesome and it was worth a BIG AND HUGE C'MONNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!

Carlos could have gotten out of this game and maybe forced another tiebreak, but Lleyton was biting too much in this match and it was a deserved win for him. Congrats, Lleyton!!

No shame for Carlos, he did well!
